Supported Virtualization Platforms

The tables on this page provide Genesys supported virtualization platforms.

Note: When a Genesys product supports a virtual platform, the support applies for Operating System versions that are supported both by the Genesys product and the virtual platform. The following tables provide references for the Genesys products. For platforms that are not listed below, or other questions, e-mail SOEInquiries@genesys.com.

SpeechMiner does not have officially-documented support for VMWare ESXi. However, through field certification, a virtualized environment can be supported. Please contact Customer Care for further details.

Genesys Voice Platform does not support vMotion.

  VMware Support Notes:
  • For products that require specialized cards (for example, Dialogic), you should rely on the card vendors and VMware for support and optimization.
  • Genesys does not support VMware's Virtual Infrastructure or Application and Infrastructure management products except as indicated in this table.
  • Best practices that have been defined by VMware and Genesys should be followed when implementing VMware virtualization. Refer to the Genesys Deployment on VMWare - Best Practices .
  • If license control is performed in a virtualized environment, either by running a FlexNet Publisher license server on virtual platforms or by using node-locked application license files, the host-id value returned by the virtual platform is used.
  • When using MAC addresses, it may be necessary to override the default and force the virtual platform to use a static (fixed) MAC address to avoid problems when virtual images are moved between physical machines. See FlexNet Publisher documentation on virtualization deployment for further details: http://support.flexerasoftware.com/main/Default.aspx.
