Software Requirements

LFMT supports the following operating systems:

  • Windows 2008 or later
  • LINUX:
    • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5.6 or later
    • CentOS 5.6 or later

LFMT supports the following database management systems:

  • PostgreSQL 9.1 or later
  • Oracle DBMS 11 or later
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or later

The following software must be installed before deploying the Log File Management Tool:

  • Genesys Administrator Extension 8.5.x and all of its associated components.
  • JRE 1.8 or later

The LFMT Client is web-based, and is compatible with the following web browsers:

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 9 or later
  • Mozilla Firefox 17.0.1 or later
  • Google Chrome 24.0.1312.52 or later

Network and Security Requirements

  1. Create a domain user account with root/Administrator privileges for use on all hosts in the environment.
  2. Ensure all hostnames in the environment can be resolved by DNS from the LFMT Server Host(s).
  3. Open the following internal ports between the LFMT Server Host and the Genesys application servers.
    1. Port 22 for SSH - Required for LFMT ongoing operation
    2. Port 135 for WMI - Required only during LFMT installation and configuration (Windows only)
  4. Ensure the following access ports are available for LFMT operation.
    1. The DBMS access port (Required if the DBMS is located on a different host than LFMT Indexer):
      • PostgreSQL - default: Port 5432
      • Oracle - default: Port 1521
      • MSSQL- default: Port 1433
    2. The GAX configuration port (default: Port 8080)
  5. (Optional) Open the following external ports for the LFMT (S)FTP/S operation.
    1. Ports 20 and 21
  6. (Optional) Assign dedicated NICs on each Genesys application server for LFMT operation.
  7. (Optional) To enable Log File Retrieval services, configure ports 80 & 443 for outbound TCP access.
