Select Opt-Out and Opt-In
A client may choose to opt out of an active conversation or any future conversation by responding to a text message with a keyword such as STOP, QUIT or OPT-OUT. The agent must respect the client’s request and enter the information into the system.
Conversely, a client may choose to opt in at any time, stating in their text message that they wish to receive future messages.
To select opt out for a client:
- From the message list, select the message in which the client indicated a desire to opt out of further messages.
- From the menu bar, click Opt-Out. A bullet indicator appears in the OptOut column and OptOut: Yes appears in the client information area.
To select opt in for a client:
- From the message list, select the message in which the client indicated a desire to opt in to receiving future messages.
- From the menu bar, click Opt-In. The bullet indicator appearing in the OptOut column disappears and OptOut: No appears in the client information area.
