Campaign Reports

In this section, create Campaign Summary or Campaign Detail reports and schedule them to run at specific times of the day. The reports can cover the entire campaign or only parts of the campaign, such as a single pass or a range of days.

Campaign Summary Reports

To generate a campaign summary report:

  1. On the Campaigns list, select the campaign for which you want the report.
  2. From the menu, select Reporting > Create Summary Report, or right click and select Create Summary Report. The Campaign Report dialog box opens, with the current campaign already selected for the report.
  3. From the Report list, select the type of summary report to generate.
  4. From the TimeFrame list, select the timeframe to be covered by the report from the following options:
    • Select Entire Campaign to produce a report that includes all data collected from the start of the campaign to the time you start the report.
    • If you select Today or Yesterday as the report timeframe, note that the day change occurs at midnight in the time zone of the Reports Default Time Zone defined in Account Settings. Select Last 7 Days to run a report for the last seven days.
Note that the "day" for all Summary and Detail reports differs, depending upon whether the time zone of the account is GMT or GMT+1, 2 or 3 time, such as in European countries, or GMT-<n>, such as in North and South American countries.
    • The report "day" for countries in GMT- time is based on 3AM-3AM ET.
    • The report "day" for countries in GMT or GMT+1, 2 or 3 time is based on midnight to midnight in the Reports Default Time Zone. See Edit account information in the Settings section.
    • Select Month to Date to run a report for the month to date (from the first of the current month to the current day.)
    • Select Last Month to run a report for all days of the previous month.
    • Select Incremental to produce a report that includes data collected from the last time you ran an incremental report of the same detail type for the campaign.
    • Select Explicit Dates to choose the start date and time along with the end date and time and the applicable Time Zone. Use the calendar icons for Start Date and End Date and select the start time and end time from the hour and minute lists. The Time Zone is populated with the Reports Default Time Zone (defined in Accounts Settings). You can select a different time zone from the list, if necessary.
  5. In the Output section, enter the output options, as necessary. See Report output options.
  6. In the Schedule section, select the report schedule from the following options. Typically, you schedule a report to run following the completion of a sub-campaign.
    • Generate once immediately (Default) - When selected, reports are generated as soon as they are requested. See the next section for more information.
    • Generate report every - Select this option to schedule reports to run periodically, then select the day of the week and specify the time at which you want the report to generate. Reports generated on a schedule appear on the Scheduled page of the Reports tab. See the next section.
    • Do not generate if report is empty - Select this option to prevent the system from generating and delivering the report if the report contains no records. If you do not select this option, the system will generate and deliver an empty report at the scheduled time even when there are no records in the report.
    • Crontab String (GMT) - Select this option to schedule the report at a precisely defined time. For each field, enter one or two digits, a comma-separated list or an asterisk (undefined).
      • The first field defines the Minute (0-59)
      • The second field defines the Hour (0-23)
      • The third field defines the Day of the Month (1-31)
      • The fourth field defines the Month of the Year (1-12)
      • The fifth field defines the Day of the Week (1-7, 1 being Monday.)
  7. After making your selections, click Submit to start report generation (if you selected Generate once immediately), or add the report to the Scheduled Reports list.

  7. After making your selections, click Create Report to start report generation (if you selected Generate once immediately), or add the report to the Scheduled Reports list.

Sub-campaign Report Templates

You can create sub-campaign report templates with preset configurations for use when creating new sub-campaign reports. The report templates that you define or change apply to all of the sub-campaign strategies for the current campaign.

Report templates define the default output options for the various sub-campaign Summary and Detail reports that you generate for a campaign. This makes it easier for you to generate sub-campaign reports because the output options are already defined (you still have the option to change them when generating the report if you want). The templates apply only to the current campaign, so if necessary, you can define different sub-campaign report templates for each of your campaigns.

You can create one template for each of the following sub-campaign report types. The settings you define apply to all reports of that type, unless you change them when generating the report.

  • Sub-campaign Summary report
  • Sub-campaign Best Contact Detail report
  • Sub-campaign All Attempts Detail report
  • Sub-campaign All Contacts Detail report
  • Sub-campaign Dialer Detail report
  • Sub-campaign Contact Center Detail report

You can define the default settings for:

  • email, FTP and SFTP delivery options
  • file name format
  • output specification file to use
  • whether or not the report is zipped for email and FTP delivery.

To create a new template:

  1. From the Campaigns > New Campaign page, click the Reporting tab.
  2. On the SubCampaign Templates bar, click New Template. The Sub-Campaign Report window appears.
  3. From the Report list, select the report type for which you are creating a template.
  4. In the Output Options section, specify the output options you want to use for the selected report type. See Generate and schedule a report.
