What's New

This release contains the following new features and enhancements:

Genesys Softphone now supports MacOS 15 (Sequoia). (SOFTPHONE-1552)
- Warning — Apple has introduced privacy/security features in MacOS 15 Sequoia, which may cause Genesys Softphone to get a “broken pipe” signal from Apple Firewall (which would terminate the application). The solution is to provision a policy in an IT-controlled Profile that allows Genesys Softphone, identified by its Bundle Id ’com.genesys.ngsp’, to accept incoming connections“.
To make Genesys Softphone more flexible in its port binding in complex network environments, a new option policy.endpoint.rtp_port_binding has been introduced, and the existing option policy.endpoint.public_address has been expanded:
- rtp_port_binding — specifies how Softphone binds RTP ports
- public_address — can now include rules that specify how a binding IP address must be selected
