Testing Alarm Conditions
- Use Telnet to access the VM Server Virtual IP interface.
- Open the Solution Control Interface (SCI).
- Under Alarm Conditions, select the Alarm Condition that you created in SCS Alarm Conditions.
ALRM_VM_HABackup — right-click it, and then click Test.
The ALRM_VM_HABackup Alarm Condition indicates that the primary VM Server is in backup mode, which triggers the Alarm Reaction scripts that disable the Virtual IP interface at the primary VM Server and enable the Virtual IP interface at the backup VM Server.
- Use an ipconfig command to verify that the Virtual IP interface is active on the backup VM Server and that the Virtual IP interface is inactive on the primary VM Server.
