What's New
This release contains the following new features and enhancements:
- Twitter Direct Messages now have a different icon to distinguish them from public Tweets.
- WDE-based Facebook sessions on WDE now work as persistent chat agents that allow contact center agents to chat with the user as well as scroll through previous sessions to better understand the full context of the conversation. Also, the agent does not need to accept each single chat reply from the user and can join and disconnect the session as needed.
- Twitter direct messages now have their own separate media type called twitterDirect. All inbound or outbound interactions related to Twitter direct messages are processed by the twitterDirect handler.
Resolved Issues
This release contains the following resolved issues:
WDE no longer freezes when an agent uses the emoji picker during a chat session. (SMD-4306)
Duplicate outbound interactions are no longer created in the database for a single reply by the agent and the correct parent ID now gets updated in the database. Previously, when a WDE agent sent a reply to a user's comment or post, the parent ID was incorrectly populated in the database. (SMD-4158)
Upgrade Notes
This release of Social Media Plug-in for Workspace Desktop Edition requires Cloud API Driver for Facebook or Cloud API Driver for Twitter version 8.5.405.14 to function properly. It will not work with previously released cloud drivers. See the eServices Social Media Solution Guide for more information on how to configure a new mediatype.
