Multimedia

Workspace Web Edition & Web Services supports multimedia interactions such as Chat, E-mail, Facebook, and Twitter. If you have not started your Workspace Web Edition & Web Services nodes, you can enable multimedia by configuring the api-multimedia feature. See Feature Configuration for details.

If you have already started your Workspace Web Edition & Web Services nodes without enabling api-multimedia, complete the following procedure:

Enabling Multimedia After Initial Startup

Complete the following steps for each Workspace Web Edition & Web Services node, starting with the synchronization node. For details about the synchronization node, see the syncNode option in the General Configuration section.

Start of Procedure

  1. Stop Jetty.
  2. If this is the synchronization node, complete the following steps:
    1. Open the WWEWS_Cluster application in Genesys Administrator or Configuration Manager. Add the following connections:
      • Universal Contact Server
      • Interaction Server
    2. Save the WWEWS_Cluster application changes.
  3. Enable the api-multimedia feature. See Feature Configuration for details.
  4. Start Jetty.
