Genesys Administrator Extension Release Notes

Release Date Release Type Restrictions AIX Linux Solaris Windows

What's New

This release includes the following

  • GAX now properly displays the Audio Resource ID in the title bar of the Details view of the corresponding Audio Resource. Previously, the Audio Resource ID was not displayed anywhere in the Details view.
  • GAX now allows the user to set a different day, month, and/or year when cloning a Statistical Day object. Previously, the original day, month and year was used in the cloned object.
Warning
  • Customers using VP Reporting Plugin for GAX version 8.5.120.30 (or lower) should not upgrade to GAX 8.5.220.20 or later, as this combination has not been qualified and there is at least one known issue. (GVP-22684)
  • Customers migrating to GAX 8.5.220.20 or later who are using the IWD plugin for GAX must ensure that they are using IWD plugin version 8.5.101.04 or later. Using an earlier version of the plugin prevents GAX from starting after the migration is complete. (GAX-8606)
Refer to the corresponding Recommendations in the Known Issues section of this Release Note for more information.

Resolved Issues

This release contains the following resolved issues:

GAX now allows root_url in the gax.properties file to be set to a different value than the default (/gax). Previously, if root_url was set to something other than the default, the Centralized Log feature did not work. (GAX-8617)

GAX now exports an object with a large number of objects, such as a Transaction List object. Previously in this scenario, only some, if any, options were exported. (GAX-8613, GAX-8595)

GAX now properly exports agent information to a .csv file in a single-tenant configuration. Previously, in configurations with a single tenant, the export failed. (GAX-8611)

This release fixes a security vulnerability in Tenant objects. (GAX-8576)

The Audio Resources Table has been optimized, resulting in much improved performance when adding, deleting, or modifying a Resource. Previously, the new table interface introduced in 8.5 had to be reloaded after each change, significantly slowing down the process of maintaining Audio Resources. (GAX-8575)

GAX no longer allows a user to start or stop an Application object on which the user does not have EXECUTE permission. This is consistent with legacy functionality. Previously, GAX did not validate permissions, so users could start applications for which they did not have the necessary permissions. (GAX-8559)

Upgrade Notes

No special procedure is required to upgrade to release 8.5.220.22.
