Save a Topic
Once you add phrases, keywords and escapes you can save your topic. After a topic is saved, you can always go back and modify it.
Before you begin
Assign Topic Keywords and Escapes
Procedure
- Click Save .
- Select one or both of the following:
- Build a default category for this topic: enables you to create a category based on the specific topic definition. That is, the category is given the same name as the topic and is configured so that linguistic events in which the topic is recognized are included in the category. You can also manually define a new category for the topic and include the topic in the properties of one or more existing categories at a later time (see Categories).
- Search this topic in program: enables you to link the topic to an existing program. You can also manually link the topic to one or more programs at a later time (see Programs).
ImportantIf you try to save a topic that contains phrases that are too short to be effective, you will be prompted to choose how to handle them (see Add Topic Phrases). - Click OK to save the topic.
If this is the first time the topic is saved, the Topic Express window opens:
