What's New

This release contains the following new features and enhancements:

  • New option protocol_timeout is added to the pulse.properties file to allow Genesys Pulse to operate without restart after the connection to Configuration Server is lost.
    • protocol_timeout
      Default Value: 30000
      Valid Values: Any positive number
      Changes Take Effect: After restart
Specifies timeout, in milliseconds, for a connection with Configuration Server.
    (WBRT-15456)
  • The following new database-related timeouts:
    • In DAP objects for jdbc connection:
      • [Pulse]/connect_timeout. Default Value: 30 seconds
      • [Pulse]/login_timeout. Default Value: 30 seconds
      • [Pulse]/socket_timeout. Default Value: 30 seconds
These options are directly used in the PostgreSQL connection string and do not affect other databases.
    • In the Genesys Pulse application object:
      • [pulse]/database_max_wait_timeout. The amount of time, in seconds, to wait for a connection. Default value is 10 seconds. Applicable only to PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL.
      • [pulse]/database_query_timeout. The amount of time, in seconds, to wait for a query to the database to finish. Default value is 300 seconds.
      • [pulse]/database_validation_query_timeout. The amount of time, in seconds, to wait for a query to the database to finish when checking a connection. Default value is 10 seconds.
    (WBRT-15391)

Resolved Issues

This release contains the following resolved issues:

Genesys Pulse no longer converts values of the jdbc_url option to lowercase. (WBRT-15583)

Users can now move Dashboard, Wallboard, and Widget Template objects between folders in Configuration Server when the [pulse]\folder_based_access option is enabled. Previously, prior to moving the object to a desired folder, this object had to be first moved to the Genesys Pulse folder. (WBRT-15352)

Genesys Pulse User Interface now properly manages different Genesys Pulse installations on the same host. (WBRT-15184)

The Grid Widget now restores its size after the browser's window size is restored. (WBRT-15075)
