What's New

This release contains the following new features and enhancements:

New parameter for mlcmd command: The new mlcmd parameter -start-initapp <Application Name | DBID> [-usedbid] starts the application specified by Application Name (the default), or the DBID if usedbid is specified, without waiting for the status to change to Initializing/Running.
Instructions for upgrading Solution Control Server to release 8.5 and later have been completely rewritten in a more concise and clearer manner. Refer to the Framework Migration Guide.

This release contains the following resolved issue:

Solution Control Server now completes the switchover of an HA Application, running in backup mode, into primary mode, in the following scenario:

The second Application in the HA pair terminated and could not be re-started; it reported an error message to Solution Control Server, such as LCA_ERROR_APP_NOT_READY_TO_WORKS, before terminating.
The disconnect-switchover-timeout option is configured on SCS to delay switchover.

Previously in this scenario, Solution Control Server was unable to complete the switchover.
