Voice Platform Media Control Platform Release Notes

This release includes the following enhancement:
- Two Media Control Platform (MCP) Fetching Module (FM) configuration options, [fm] forbid_connection_reuse and [fm] dns_cache_timeout, have been added so that the reuse of the TCP/HTTP connections to web servers and DNS results caching can be controlled.
- Importantlibcurl, used by FM, caches the connections and reuses them if they are idle for less than 118 seconds. Also, when a cached connection is used, DNS lookup is not performed. Hence, DNS change for a hostname will not be picked up and the connection to the new address will not occur.
- [fm] forbid_connection_reuse: If set to 1, connections will not be reused. If set to 0 (default), connections will be reused if possible.
- [fm] dns_cache_timeout: This option sets the DNS cache timeout in seconds. The default value is 60 (seconds). If set to 0, DNS lookup is made for each new connection. If set to -1, DNS cache entries will be valid forever. The TTL property of DNS entries are not used by FM/libcurl.
This release contains the following resolved issues:
Buffered dual-tone multifrequency (DTMF) digits are no longer discarded when hitting a VoiceXML input item, if the <mark> tag happens to be the first one in the prompt list. Previously, they were wrongly discarded in such a scenario. (GVP-39523)
No special procedure is required to upgrade to release 9.0.022.90.
