Corrections and Modifications
This release also includes the following corrections or modifications:
Genesys Softphone now uses the new GSIP library version 8.1.100.39 that correctly understands the expires parameter in the Contact header of the 200 OK response for REGISTER message. Previously, Genesys Softphone used an older version that only understood the Expires header and did not update the registration timeout when that header was missing 200 OK response. As a result, the DN might have gone out of service when the configured timeouts on the endpoint and registrar did not match. (SOFTPHONE-68)
Genesys Softphone now plays the ring tone correctly when using Windows Media Player. Previously, the Media Player’s stop and start functionality did not work correctly and Genesys Softphone sometimes did not play the ring tone when the following was configured:
- SIP Server option: make-call-alert-info option = <urn:alert:service:3pcc@genesys>
- Genesys Softphone options:
- ringing_enabled = 1
- ringing_timeout = 0
- ringing_file = ringing.mp3
