The Aspect CSS can be deployed in a distributed configuration where the Runtime Server and Telephony Server components can reside on dedicated servers with different operating systems. The Genesys IVR Driver runs on the Runtime Server component which currently supports either Unixware or Solaris. The Telephony Server component with the telephony card currently supports Unixware or Windows.
