Installing and Configuring the Adapter in Salesforce

Complete the procedures on this page to install and configure the Gplus Adapter for Salesforce in your Salesforce environment.

Installing the Adapter in Salesforce

Prerequisites

Start

  1. Go to Salesforce to install the package
  2. Log in with your Salesforce username and password
  3. On the Package Installation Details page, you will see Genesys Gplus for Salesforce, version 1, then choose Continue
  4. On the Genesys Gplus for Salesforce Step 1 page, choose the appropriate Extended Object Permissions, then choose Next
  5. On the Genesys Gplus for Salesforce Step 2 page, choose the appropriate security levels, then choose Next
  6. On the Genesys Gplus for Salesforce Step 3 page, choose Install. You should see a message saying "Your package is being installed. When installation is complete, you may edit your configuration and deploy the package"
  7. When your installation is complete, you will see the page Genesys Gplus for Salesforce (Managed) and the note Installation Complete

Configuring the Adapter in Salesfore

Prerequisites

Start

  1. Log into your Salesforce, then click Setup in top right corner of page
  2. Click Installed Packages. Genesys Gplus for Salesforce should appear under the Installed Packages list
  3. In the Search field, enter Call Centers. You should see Call Centers appear in the results. Click Call Centers and it should take you to the Introducing Salesforce CRM Call Center page.
  4. Click Continue to take you to the Genesys Gplus for Salesforce page.
  5. Click Edit
  6. Replace all instances of GWS_HOST:GWS_PORT with the correct host and port for your installation of Genesys Web Services. There are three (3) places to edit:
    • CTI Adapter URL,
    • VCC Server Address, and
    • Angel Monitor URL.
  7. The remaining options available on the screen may also be modified if required:
  • Use CTI API
  • Softphone Height
  • Softphone Width
  • Outside Prefix
  • Long Distance Prefix
  • International Prefix
  • Single Sign On Authentication Enabled
  • GWS Server Address
  • Agent Login Timeout
  • Failover Polling Interval
  • Local Logging Enabled
  • Confirm Agent Transfers
  • Agent Wrap-Up Time
  • Package Namespace
  • Preprocess Outbound Numbers
  • Click Manage Call Center Users.
  • After clicking, assign the appropriate profile(s) under Assign to Profiles, then click Save.
  • To view the Gplus Adapter, choose Sample Console from the drop-down menu at the top-right of page. The Gplus Adapter should appear.

    Call Centre Definitions in .war file

    The latest versions of the call center definition XML file is included in the .war file for Genesys Web Services.

    This file can be obtained from Genesys Web Services, saved locally, and then use it to upload the call center definition.

    Replace <GWS_HOST>:<GWS_PORT> with your own Genesys Web Services host and port.

    This file is intended to be imported into Salesforce to create a call center definition. You can then modify the values within Salesforce.
