New in This Release
Corrections and Modifications
This is a hot fix for this product. This release contains the following new features or functionality:
The Adapter now supports Push URL functionality. An agent can send a URL to a contact as a USER_PUSHED_URL
chat notification message. To use this functionality, the agent enters the URL in the regular chat message area and clicks Check URL
to verify that it opens in a browser. After verifying the URL, the agent sends it to the contact by clicking Push URL
. The way the message is displayed in the chat window of the contact depends on the chat application being used.
Notes:
If the protocol of a URL is not specified, then http://
is automatically added when Check URL
is clicked. For example, if you enter www.google.com
, it is passed to the browser as http://www.google.com
. However, when Push URL
is clicked, the message is sent to the contact as it was originally entered (for example, www.google.com
).
URLs in messages pushed to a contact are not clickable in the Genesys chat transcript window on the Siebel side.
To support this functionality, a new parameter called ChatNotificationContent
has been added to the ChatNotify
command and ChatNotice
event. The new ChatNotificationContent
parameter contains the URL to be pushed to a contact. In an out-of-the-box deployment, ChatNotificationContent
contains the URL entered in the chat text area when Push URL
is clicked. The ChatNoticeType
parameter must contain USER_PUSHED_URL
to specify that this is a Push URL message.
In addition, the multimedia driver itx_scdrv
is updated to support the new parameters for the ChatNotify
device command and ChatNotice
device event. This driver maps the new parameters to chat protocol messages.
The following is an example of a chat protocol noticeText
tag for a Push URL message:
<noticeText noticeType="USER_PUSHED_URL">www.google.com</noticeText>
(GPSBL-4706)
