Corrections and Modifications
There are no restrictions for this release. This release contains the following new features or functionality:
A new configuration option, xml-dump-dir,
to control additional logging of XML messages.
xml-dump-dir
Section: xml
Default Value: an empty string
Valid Values: any directory path (relative or absolute) allowed by the given operating system
Changes Take Effect: Immediately
Defines the directory where the application writes the contents of XML requests. The directory will contain three types of files: the Input Original XML Request body, the XSL-Transformed XML body, and the XML Response body.
Important:
This release includes the following corrections and modifications:
The Adapter now correctly processes requests if Common Library logging is enabled. Previously in this scenario, the Adapter might have intermittently stopped processing requests. (GPSBL-5118)
The Adapter now correctly synchronizes campaigns using campaign-templates under environments with Configuration Server 8.5.100 or later. Previously, campaign synchronization failed under the mentioned conditions. (GPSBL-5358)

This release includes the following correction and modification:
The Adapter now consumes an appropriate amount of the CPU on the Linux platform. Previously, under some conditions, the Adapter consumed extra CPU, even though it did not lose functionality. (GPSBL-5042)
The Adapter now correctly accepts default values for string-based database fields. In addition, the Adapter accepts a single quote character (') inside the field value. Previously, incorrect SQL statements were generated for the mentioned cases for the Oracle database that caused syncronization failure. (GPSBL-5045)

. (GPSBL-4893)

Corrections and Modifications
This is a hot fix for this product. This release does not contain any new features or functionality.
This release includes the following corrections and modifications:
The adapter now works correctly if Configuration Units or Site objects are configured in the Configuration Layer. Previously, the adapter stopped working unexpectedly during synchronization if a Configuration Unit or Site was configured. (GPSBL-4851)
The following changes are made to adapter deployment and usage:
DeploymentGenesysCampaignSynchronization.sif
and GenSymbolicStrings.sif
).
CX_GCAS_CFG_OBJ
table must be re-applied to the server database.
Three new fields are added to the Synchronization Servers applet:
Campaign Folder
Calling List Folder
Table Access Folder
These fields specify an absolute path to the corresponding configuration objects (Campaigns, Calling Lists, and Table Access). These fields are hidden by default, so you can use the Columns Displayed applet menu item to make them visible. (The previously existing Folder
field is still used to specify a relative path to the configuration object.)
Absolute paths provide a full object path starting from the tenant root (they do not contain the tenant name) and allow you to use preconfigured Configuration Units and Sites. For example, an absolute path can appear as Unit1/Campaigns/SBL
or Site1/Unit2/Calling Lists/SBL/Org1
.
If an absolute path is not specified, the relative path is used. Relative paths specify an object path relative to the default object paths (/Campaigns
, /Calling Lists
, and /Table Access
). For example, the /SBL
relative path assumes object creation under /Campaigns/SBL
, /Calling Lists/SBL
, and /Table Access/SBL
.
Note: Absolute paths must contain a folder that corresponds to the required object types (for example, Campaign, Calling List, or Table Access). Also, Configuration Units and Sites must be created before synchronization along with a folder of the required type. All subfolders can be created automatically during synchronization.

XSL transformations implemented in the Adapter no longer fail. (GPSBL-4587)
The Adapter now supports floaf
and datetime
field types.
Note: When using datetime
field types in your synchronization
process, you must confirm that the input formats of these fields are equal for
both the Siebel and Genesys databases. If they are not equal, additional transformation is required. In XML messages, the values of these fields must meet the input format requirements for the OCS database. If the formats are different, you can perform additional transformation by using an XSL style sheet and the built-in XSL transformation functionality included with the Adapter.
The Adapter now works correctly if a contact has several phone numbers of the same phone type. However, the Adapter does not support these configurations; all phone numbers must have different phone types. Previously, the Adapter stopped working if a contact had several phone numbers of the same phone type. (GBSPL-4579)

There are no restrictions for this release. This section describes new features that were introduced in this release of Gplus Adapter for Siebel CRM Campaign Synchronization Component.
This release includes the following corrections and modifications:
The Adapter now supports the synchronization of several multiple campaigns at once. Previously, this type of synchronization was not possible. (ER# 214749116)
The Sent Request
messages now appear in the log when they are sent. Previously, the Sent Request
messages appeared in the log before the request was sent. (ER# 214474453)
The Adapter now correctly synchronizes campaigns in scenarios where the synchronization process is interrupted in the middle of synchronization by restarting the Campaign Synchronization Server. Previously in this scenario, the campaign synchronization results were incorrect. (ER# 262935401)

Corrections and Modifications
There are no restrictions for this release. There are no new features introduced in this release of Gplus Adapter for Siebel CRM Campaign Synchronization Component.
This release includes the following corrections and modifications:
Campaign Synchronization now performs correctly with the Adapter when customization is implemented. This issue has been resolved. (ER# 266599378)
In High Availability mode, the Campaign Synchronization Component now uploads the current call data to Siebel after the switchover to primary status. Previously, the secondary Campaign Synchronization Component connected to Outbound Contact Server (OCS) at startup, and at switchover to primary status, the old call results (that were uploaded at startup) were sent to Siebel. (ER# 232658905)
The Campaign Synchronization Component now sends the correct value to Siebel in the Number of Attempts
field. Previously during an outbound campaign, when OCS dialed multiple chains on a campaign contact, the number of attempts displayed in Siebel was much higher than the number displayed in OCS.
(ER# 251014383)
Campaign Synchronization now retains older records when the AppendList
method is used in Business Service. Previously, when the AppendList
method was used, the older records were deleted. (ER# 260877126)
The Campaign Synchronization Component's STATUS
field value is now of type N
(numeric). Previously, the STATUS
field value was of type X
(ntext), which caused the SBL-DAT-00401
error to occur in Siebel. (ER# 266796200)
This section provides the latest information on known issues and recommendations associated with this product.

To provide enhanced security, the user credentials have been removed from the URL address that is used to connect to Siebel.
The ServerURL
configuration option, as described in the Gplus Adapter 7.5 for Siebel CRM Deployment Guide, has changed and now specifies the URL of the Web server on which the Siebel Web Engine is installed. Initially, this option contains the template string: ServerURL=<ServerUrl>/<path>/start.swe
Where:
<ServerUrl>
is the first part of the URL you use to access your Siebel Server through the Siebel Web Client.
<path>
specifies a virtual path on the server referring to the specific Siebel Web Extension configuration. The default value for
this option is eai_enu.
Note: This known issue is applicable to releases in the 8.0.001.xx version stream only and is not applicable to the releases in the 8.0.100.xx version stream.
