The following applies to the creation of custom fields in the
as described in the "Interaction Server: Advanced Topics" section of the "Ongoing Administration and Other Topics"
chapter of the Multimedia 7.6 User's Guide.
If you specify such a custom field as
you must ensure that applications always provide some data to that field upon creation of an interaction (
If no data is provided, the request will fail because Interaction Server sends NULL for empty fields, and that will be rejected by the DBMS.
This also means that the
default value trigger for such fields cannot be used.
As a workaround, you can create fields in the
interactions database without mapping them
to custom properties of Interaction Server (by creating corresponding
InteractionCustomProperties Business Attribute objects).
Such fields are hidden from Interaction Server but can be used by third-party applications.
Multimedia Reporting Toolkit, Interaction Server Proxy, and UCS Proxy must be deployed manually.
To take advantage of all new functionality, this release must be deployed with Universal Routing Server 7.6.1, Interaction Routing Designer 7.6.1, and Stat Server 7.6.1.

Contrary to what is said in the Multimedia 7.6 Deployment Guide, UCS Proxy and Interaction Server Proxy do not work with Genesys Agent Desktop or with any desktop that connects using Interaction SDK. However, a custom desktop that connects using Platform SDK Contact does work with UCS Proxy and Interaction Server Proxy. (ER# 242536647)
On Solaris and AIX, releases prior to 7.6.1 of Classification Server and Training Server do not connect to a backup Message Server. (ER# 35601441)
This release includes all fixes made in previous releases of Multimedia components (including hot fix releases) at the time of this 7.6.1 release.
