This is a hot fix for this product. This release does not contain new features or functionality.
This release includes the following corrections and modifications:
LCA now restarts an application in state APP_STATUS_START_PENDING
if its configuration information is modified. Previously in this scenario,
LCA terminated the application. (ER# 281035293)
On Windows platforms, LCA now returns the value of the Private
Bytes
counter (in bytes), which is displayed by Solution Control
Interface and Genesys Administrator in the field Memory Usage
.
This value corresponds to the virtual memory size reported by Windows Task
Manager in the VM Size
column (this column is not displayed,
by default).
Previous versions of LCA running on Windows, depending on version,
incorrectly reported the value of the Working Set
or
Virtual Bytes
counters.

This release includes the following correction and modification:
The stability of LCA on the Linux platform has been improved. Previously, when LCA was running on a Linux host on which there was a large number of Genesys applications running, or when it was operating in a large configuration, LCA would sometimes terminate unexpectedly. (ER# 276845181, 273944821)

There are no restrictions for this release. This section describes new features that were introduced in this release of LCA.
When using Genesys Administrator to remotely deploy applications to the
computer on which LCA is running, you can configure the Genesys Deployment
Agent to store all uploaded files in a specified default folder. Add the
new option rootdir
to the Genesys Deployment Agent configuration
file gda.cfg
in the web
section to define the path
to the folder in which to store the uploaded Installation Packages.
rootdir
Default: No default value
Valid Values: Path to any valid folder
Change Takes Effect: After restart of Genesys Deployment Agent
Specifies the path to the folder that is used to store files uploaded during the IP installation process.
(ER# 241948171)
LCA now supports the Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5.4 operating system.
This release also includes the following corrections and modifications:
The Unresponsive Application Detection feature now operates correctly if the LCA and the monitored application executables are different bit versions. In other words, the feature now works correctly if the LCA executable is 32-bit and the application executable is 64-bit; or if they are 64-bit and 32-bit respectively.
Previously, LCA and the monitored application executable had to be the same bit version for the feature to work properly.

The LCA package includes the Genesys Deployment Agent (also referred to as the Remote Deployment Agent), which is used by the Web Deployment Tool (part of Genesys Administrator) to install Genesys applications and solutions on the host. Refer to the Framework 8.0 Deployment Guide for more information about the Web Deployment Tool.
Note: The Genesys Deployment Agent Service on each host must be set up and maintained with permissions sufficient to install applications and solutions on the host on which it is running.

Hangup detection works incorrectly for a thread of class <n>
if the configuration option heartbeat-period-thread-class-<n>
for this thread class is set to zero (0
); that is, if
heartbeat-period-thread-class-<n>=0
.
Workaround: Remove the heartbeat-period-thread-class-<n>
options that are set to zero (0
).

The Unresponsive Application Detection feature will fail if the LCA and the monitored application executables are different bit versions. In other words, if the LCA executable is 32-bit and the application executable is 64-bit, the feature will fail; likewise, if they are 64-bit and 32-bit respectively, the feature will also fail.
Workaround: Use the same bit version for both LCA and the monitoring application.
