Corrections
and Modifications
There are no restrictions for this release. This section describes new features that were introduced in the initial 8.0 release of WFM Server.
WFM Server supports the multiple insertion of marked time into a schedule.
WFM Server can use past carry-over information when asked to calculate the balance for the historic dates of time-off balances, but still uses only the last carry-over when calculating the balance for future days.
This release introduces a new concept of overtime: schedule states that
are marked with a marked time state of the type Overtime
. Now
the Overtime column in the Schedule Intra-day view and the Schedule Weekly
view displays the total duration of a new overtime item.
When calculating a time-off balance, WFM Server uses the available bonus first, then accruals or awards given by a time-off rule.
WFM Server allow access to Exception Types for a business unit, or for multiple sites, in one request.
WFM Server allows calendar service changes to work with the Exception Types that were moved to WFM Web.
This release includes the following corrections and modifications that were made between Release 7.6 or earlier releases and the initial 8.0 release:
WFM Server does not require the time to abandon
parameter in performing
a What-If scenario, if the percentage of abandoned calls is 0
(zero).
(ER# 252843703)
WFM Server no longer incorrectly issues the warning Violation of configured
minimum duration for Activity Set
when a user edits a shift with an activity
set containing a paid meal or break. (ER# 249779066)
This release addresses slow performance issues with Oracle databases, by adding an index hint to some database queries. Previously, such queries would sometimes limit performance because Oracle Optimizer did not always use the correct index.
However, this correction requires a workaround to maintain correct functionality
with Microsoft SQL databases. Use Configuration Manager to edit the WFM Server
application. Create a Hints section and inside it, create the option wm_cfg_timestamp
= <whitespace>
(a single space). Then restart WFM Server. (ER# 244293291)
The status of a schedule scenario no longer changes to New
after
a swap of agent schedules in the scenario. (ER# 237037145)
WFM Server now correctly calculates the shift end time when unpaid shift items are configured, and correctly checks the end time against the configured end time for the shift. (ER# 236585297)
This release corrects a rare situation where some WFM Web requests failed with
the error message Failed to read a 'Transfer-Encoding: chunked' request
body, Reason: Error consuming chunk footer logged in the WFM Server log
.
(ER# 233675358)
