Corrections and Modifications
There are no restrictions for this release. This section describes new features that were introduced in the initial 8.0 release of Workforce Management (WFM) Configuration Utility.
WFM Configuration Utility's time-off assignment view is enhanced to include historical time-off types.
You can stop an agent's time-off type / time-off rule assignment by adding a stop date to it.
When executing a carry-over, Configuration Utility does not overwrite the last carry-over data; instead it creates a new record for every new carry-over.
During synchronization with Configuration Manager, Configuration Utility imports all skill assignments as primary. A user can then designate a skill as secondary for the specific agent.
Configuration Utility uses both primary and secondary activities while scheduling agents for overtime.
When assigning a shift object to a contract, the user can specify whether the object will be a primary or a secondary shift for that contract.
During synchronization with Configuration Manager, when a site needs to be inserted, Configuration Utility prompts the user to specify whether to assign the site to a business unit (BU), or to create a new BU.
Configuration of the policy objects Exception Types, Time Off Types, Meetings and Marked Time is moved the WFM Web.
This release includes the following corrections and modifications that were made between Release 7.6 or earlier releases and the initial 8.0 release:
Configuration Utility now correctly saves an Activity Group whether Activities or Multi-Site Activities are checked or unchecked. (ER# 247981911)
This release addresses—and shortens—the length of time that Configuration Utility takes to change an Agent's location. (ER# 240501396)
This section provides the latest information on known issues and recommendations associated with this product.
A site's business unit (BU) cannot be changed in the Configuration >
Organization > Business Unit
properties panel if at least one Activity
under the affected site is still assigned to an Activity Group that belongs
to the "old" BU.
Workaround: Before changing a site's BU, unassign all Activities from all Activities Groups that belong to the "old" BU.

If you perform Synchronization with Configuration>Organization selected in the module tree and any object selected in the objects tree, WFM Configuration Utility may freeze and eventually close. (ER# 255283321)

When you create a new site under a business unit (BU), users who do not have security rights to that BU but have access to at least one existing site under that BU, will not get automatic security access to the new site. (ER# 255028323)

All changes that you make on the Overtime tab (in WFM Configuration Utility
on the Data pane when you select the Contracts module and a contract in the
Objects pane) are ignored. In WFM 8.0, you can configure overtime in the Policies
/ Marked Time module of WFM Web. (ER# 254479339)

A user loses all changes to Weekly Patterns if an attempt to save a Rotating Pattern fails due to valid reasons (for example, trying to save to a duplicate name). (ER# 254059732)

WFM Configuration Utility (CU) will not delete a time zone if it is being used by a site or business unit configuration. Also, CU displays an error message if you remove and then add a time zone in one action. (ER# 243373171)
Found In: 8.0.000.25 | Fixed In: |
When a user tries to delete a business unit that contains at least one site (that itself contains at least one activity), WFM Configuration Utility displays an incorrect error message, explaining that the deletion is refused because the business unit contains multi-site activities or activity groups. (ER# 240368392)

After the connection to the WFM database is broken and then restored while
you are deleting an activity or editing a shift, The WFM Configuration Utility
display may become corrupted and the "lost connection" error message
(with its OK
button) may appear behind other windows. You may need
to quit WFM Configuration Utility to restore control. (ER# 164014187)
