Introduction

This release note applies to all 8.0 releases of the Genesys Training Manager.

This release includes the following corrections and modifications:


The whole data retrieval strategy for Genesys has been changed to try and lighten the load on Genesys WFM (for example, agents are fetched on an on-demand basis rather than all agents being on).


Minimized the number of “unhandled Exceptions” which sometimes appear in Genesys Training Manager if WFM does not come back with data in time, or does not come back at all.


On the User Selection screen, the tabbing order was changed so that the TreeView is highlighted first, correcting a small usability issue.


Modified stored procedures dealing with Statistics and Completion Reports to fix negative Unscheduled Agent numbers.


Resolved an issue whereby if Genesys Training Manager was unable to retrieve Agents from WFM (due to permissions-restrictions in WFM) then there was an Object reference not set error on the User Selection screen.


Resolved an issue raised when trying to schedule massive numbers of Agents at a time. Genesys Training Manager now chunks 200 Agents at a time to Genesys when retrieving schedules.


Performance improvements were made to handle situations where a user does not have permission to view Agents in Genesys.


Genesys Training Manager was updated so that the names of Agents on the Training Sessions tab will now only show a maximum of 12 in the column.


Resolved further issues in relation to a customer's way of working where Agents were being unselected from the User Selection screen, for example, Red Flags appeared when Green flags were expected - and also affected hot-swapping.


Resolved an issue whereby hot-swapping Rooms/Trainers could save a Training Session back to the wrong Schedule.


Resolved an issue where an error occurred when editing a Room Booking in the Room Calendar.


Resolved an issue where a Room clash message was not correctly displayed.


Resolved an issue where a clash was not being detected between a Meeting Session and a Training Session.


Improved the handling of situations which occurred when the list of Scenarios was not available from Genesys WFM.


Resolved an issue where using Scenarios may have cause an Exception to be thrown when scheduling.


Resolved an issue where the "Please note that one or more Scenarios that had been previously assigned are no longer available" message might have appeared at the wrong time.


Resolved an issue where "Object Reference not set to an instance of an object" appeared in the First Name/Last Name view on the User Selection screen for Meetings.


Resolved an issue where tick boxes were not visible for Manager Working Hours in Genesys Training Manager.


Resolved an issue where Managers were booked on a non-working day.


Resolved an issue where Managers were booked against an empty team meeting.


Resolved an issue where the Please Wait dialog box sometimes remained even though the algorithm was completed.


Resolved a "Multiple nodes with TeamID:0" issue when Agents were moved to Teams in Genesys WFM.


Resolved an issue where viewing the Completion Status by the Genesys Site does not display anything.


Helped display issues when running asynchronous operations on Windows XP.


Improved consistency of the display on the Status Bar and amended wording.


Clicking SkillsPortal > Users > Agents only displays the agents eligible for SkillsPortal rather than all of them.


Resolved an issue where SkillsPortal cached the TreeView incorrectly across the Trainer Diary and the View Other Trainer Diary screens.


Increased performance of the Completion Status report, especially when running across multiple Training Requests.


Resolved various issues relating to Statistics; the client now displays more information about their calculation.


When adding/editing diary entry in the Portal, the Z-Order has been fixed for Internet Explorer 7 users.


Resolved an issue arising on the User Selection screen after a Manager has been deleted.


Resolved an issue where not all Agents were being given access to SkillsPortal when the "Populate from WFM" button was clicked.
