This release includes the following correction or modification:


SNMP Master Agent now correctly handles the delivery of SNMP traps to the trap targets when the trap_target option is configured with multiple SNMP trap targets that use different community strings. Previously with this configuration, SNMP Master Agent sent duplicate SNMP traps to the same destination. (MFWK-15325)

SNMP Master Agent now properly closes sockets when clients disconnect. Previously, when clients disconnected from SNMP Master Agent, the disconnected sockets were not closed properly, and remained open and unavailable for reuse. (MFWK-13835)

SNMP Master Agent log files are now of a more manageable size. The SNMP Master Agent template been updated with new default values for two options, both in the log section, as follows:

Previously, the template used the system-wide default values for these options, with both set to false. This led to the creation of very large log files over time. (ER# 309722130)

SNMP Master Agent no longer opens the "public" community for SNMPv1 clients by default. It will now open the "public" community only if the following conditions are true:

  1. The options trap_target and read_community or write_community are configured in the SNMP MA configuration object.

  2. The user has not configured a trap community for each host specified in the trap_target option.

Known Issues and Recommendations

This section provides the latest information on known issues and recommendations associated with this product.


Automatic switchover of SNMP Master Agents is not supported. Genesys strongly recommends that you do not configure SNMP Master Agent in an HA pair.

Workaround: Do not configure a backup SNMP Master Agent Application object. Instead, configure only one SNMP Master Agent Application object and select Auto-restart in the Server Info section of its Configuration tab.

If you use a tool other than Windows certificate services to generate the TLS security certificate and then import the certificate to Windows manually, the CERT_TRUST_REVOCATION_STATUS_UNKNOWN validation error will occur and the TLS connection to the Genesys server will fail.

Workaround: Set the client-option option to 0 (zero) to disable server authentication in the SNMP Master Agent TLS socket. Refer to the Framework Configuration Options Reference Manual for a full description of this option and how to use it.
