SNMP Master Agent no longer opens the "public" community for SNMPv1 clients by default. It will now open the "public" community only if the following conditions are true:
There are options [trap_target]
and [read_community]
or [write_community]
configured in the SNMP MA configuration object.
A trap community has not been configured by the user for each host specified in the [trap_target]
option.

Traffic between SNMP Master Agent and Configuration Server is now optimized, as SNMP Master Agent now subscribes for only necessary notifications from Configuration Server.
SNMP Master Agent now includes metadata, which provides you with a more user-friendly way to configure SNMP Master Agent. The metadata contains all configuration options supported by SNMP Master Agent, including those that are already included in the template. This metadata is supported only by the new web-based Genesys Administrator. For more information about metadata, see Framework 8.0 Genesys Administrator Help.
