When updating the version of GSVM Server, you must copy existing voicemail data from the current server instance to the new server instance. For details, see the SIP Voicemail Migration Procedure.
There are no restrictions for this release. This release contains the following new features or functionality.
SIP server release 8.1.000.65 is now integrated in the voicemail CD, so a manual upgrade of SIP server to release 8.1.000.65 is no longer needed in a voicemail environment.
LCA is upgraded to release 8.1.1 in this release of Voicemail Server.
This release includes the following corrections and modifications:
For High Availability deployments in Linux environments, the Local Control Agent (LCA) now automatically starts as required for a successful Solution HA switchover. Previously for run levels other than 3, a manual restart of the LCA was required. (ER# 295400524)

Genesys recommends that you use SIP Server version 8.1.000.61 or later for the Voicemail SIP Server instance in your deployment.

The Complete Install tool no longer sets the redundancy type as Hot Standby when creating the SIP Server for Voicemail Application. Previously, this setting caused SIP Server start-up to fail in cases where the HA setting in the application did not match the HA setting in Solution Control Server (SCS). (ER# 286859250)
The Complete Install tool no longer requires the following configuration steps in addition to the complete install:
GSIPVM_HOME
environment variable on the Genesys SIP Voicemail Server host before starting the Complete Install.

After the GSVM Complete Install procedure is finished please ensure to complete the following steps:

SIP Voicemail Server host. The Complete Install attempts to start all the
components automatically once the procedure is finished, and the start-up
of Genesys SIP Voicemail Server may fail until this environment variable is

If the installation terminates before completion, it does not "clean up" the files and configurations created during that process. (A normal installation does clean up.)
WorkAround
Start Genesys Administrator or Configuration Manager. Using
the Manual Installation instructions in chapter 2, "Genesys SIP Voicemail
Deployment," in the Genesys SIP Voicemail Administration Guide,
undo all configurations that were performed and remove any that files created
during the partial installation. Restarting Complete Install requires a "clean
