Corrections and Modifications
The operating systems supported by this release are listed in the Contents section, above.
This is a hot fix for this product. This release does not contain new features or functionality.
This release includes the following corrections and modifications:
SCI no longer terminates when trying to display an active alarm triggered by log event containing more than 256 characters in its text field. (ER# 222190580)
SCI no longer displays some information about the last error after all alarms have been cleared. Previously, some details of the last error would still be visible in SCI. (ER# 203668943)
SCI now displays the Scripts folder in the single-tenant configuration environment. (ER# 168996643)
SCI now correctly displays root folders (such as Applications
,
Hosts
, Solutions
, and so on) after they have been
renamed or localized. Previously in this scenario, the renamed folders were
either displayed within other folders in SCI, or were not displayed at all.

There are no restrictions for this release. This release does not contain new features or functionality.
This release includes the following correction and modification:
SCI no longer utilizes 100% of the CPU during initialization when it is processing information for a very large number of configuration objects. Previously in this scenario, SCI appeared to be inactive until it had finished processing all of the information for all of the objects. (ER# 207736510)

This release includes the following correction and modification:
Solution Control Interface (SCI) now correctly displays the full contents of the Centralized Log database as you scroll through the list of log records. Previously, if the Centralized Log database used an IBM DB2 Database Management System, SCI repeatedly displayed only the 100 most recent log records as you scrolled through the list. (ER# 186813438)

The operating systems supported by this release are listed in the Contents section, above.

This release includes the following corrections and modifications:
SCI now launches successfully if you enabled the following settings when you installed Security Banner:
How to process Login to the application if the content of
the Security Banner message located at the specified URL cannot be
displayed
is set to Log in without acknowledgement of
the banner content
, and
Security Banner Error
Documents
page.
Previously, when you attempted to launch SCI and if none of the documents
specified on the Security Banner Documents
page could be
displayed, the error message appeared anyway, and the only action you
could perform was to click the Exit
button to cancel the
login.
Note: Genesys recommends that if you select Log in without
acknowledgement of the banner content
, you should not enter any URLs on the
Security Banner Error Documents
page. Security Banner error
messages are not supposed to be displayed to the user if the user is allowed
to proceed.
(ER# 164801681)
The forced re-login feature, which requires that a user log in again after a specified time of inactivity, now functions properly in SCI. (ER# 162546697)
SCI no longer terminates unexpectedly when you double-click on a Solution or
select the Action
menu item, if the Solution includes one or more
non-Server
type applications. (ER#s 162299071, 162538555)
After a Configuration Server switchover, SCI now reconnects to the backup DB Server running in primary mode. (ER# 154933305)
Secure connections using the Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocol from SCI to the DB Server can now be established regardless of the ADDP parameters. Previously, ADDP parameters had to be set appropriately for secure connections to be established. (ER# 151540383)

Corrections and Modifications
The operating systems supported by this release are listed in the Contents section, above.
There are no restrictions for this release. This section describes new features that were introduced in the initial 7.6 release of Solution Control Interface (SCI).
You can now create a custom Security Banner to be displayed when a user logs in to Solution Control Interface.
You can now force a user to re-login after a time of inactivity, the length of which you can specify.
This release includes the following corrections and modifications that were made between release 7.5 or earlier releases and the initial 7.6 release:
SCI now displays the Your password has been changed
message appropriately,
even with external authentication using LDAP or RADIUS. Previously, this message was
displayed even when password change failed. (ER# 134595244)
SCI now saves information from the View > Options
dialog box. You no
longer need to reset your custom option settings (Visibility
, Default View
,
View Fonts
, Server Connections
, Disconnect Notification
,
and Visual Notification
) every time SCI is restarted. (ER# 107848491)
SCI no longer stops responding when DB Server is delayed in sending a response to an SCI request. Previously, if you closed SCI in this situation, SCI would terminate abnormally. (ER# 107241523)
The Alarm Reaction Wizard now properly creates reactions of type Change Application
Option
by storing up to 255 characters. Previously, the Wizard stored only 20 characters for
the option (name, value, or section), resulting in an incorrect reaction. (ER# 55565793)
If an object is moved between folders, SCI now displays the change correctly. Previously, you had to restart SCI and wait until SCI reconnected to Configuration Server before the new arrangement was properly displayed. (ER# 10517691)
If the user password is changed while SCI is connected to Configuration Server, SCI can
now reconnect to Configuration Server. Previously, when a disconnect occurred, the user
had to select the Connect later
option, and then log in again with the new
password. (ER# 7921853)
This section provides the latest information on known issues and recommendations associated with this product.
Solution Control Interface terminates when trying to display an active alarm triggered by a log event containing more than 256 characters in its text field.
Workaround: When configuring Alarm Conditions, ensure that the length of the text in the text field of the detection log event is 256 characters or less.

Solution Control Interface does not display the contents of the Scripts
folder in the Single-tenant configuration.
Workaround: Use Configuration Manager, the Alarm Reaction Wizard, or the Alarm Detection Wizard to view and access the scripts.

Solution Control Interface will not launch successfully if, when installing it, you enable the Security Banner with the following settings:
How to process Login to the application if the content of
the Security Banner message located at the specified URL cannot be
displayed
is set to Log in without acknowledgement of
the banner content
, and
Security Banner Error
Documents
page.
Security Banner Documents
page
can be displayed, the error message appears as the Security Banner, and
the only action you can perform is to click the Exit
button
to cancel the login.
Workaround: If you select Log in without acknowledgement
of the banner content
, do not enter any URLs on the Security
Banner Error Documents
page. Security Banner error messages are not
supposed to be displayed to the user, if the user is allowed to proceed
with the login.

SCI initially displays log messages in descending order of generation data. This can have a negative impact on performance for large log databases.
Workaround (to be performed by a DB Administrator): Create an index for the table
G-LOG-MESSAGES
on the TIMEGENERATED
field.

SCI and Universal Router Server (URS) both identify which Message Server
is dedicated to logging, but they do so in different places. To avoid
problems, you must configure the Message Server signature in both places.
For SCI, use the Options
tab of the Message Server Properties
dialog. For URS, use the Annex
tab of the Message Server
Properties dialog. (ER# 93143)
