Introduction

As of February 1, 2012, Genesys is no longer an affiliate of Alcatel-Lucent; any indication of such affiliation within Genesys products or packaging is no longer applicable. Please see the Genesys website at http://www.genesyslab.com for more details.

This release note applies to all 7.6 releases of Report Generation Assistant (RGA), which ships on the Reporting Templates 8.0 CD.

There are no restrictions for this release. This section describes new features that were introduced in the initial 7.6 release of Report Generation Assistant.

Corrections and Modifications

This release includes the following corrections and modifications that were made between Release 7.2 or earlier releases and the initial 7.6 release:


In previous versions, Report Generation Assistant might fail to generate reports if the connection file was named other than CCAnalyzer.oce or the file was not placed in the same directory as the RG Assistant files. In this release, you can name and position this file as you see fit. Note, however, that if the connection files resides apart from RG Assistant, you will have to specify its full path at the Login screen in order for RGA to connect to Data Mart. (ER# 260670061)

Known Issues and Recommendations

RGA-generated reports might incorrectly display start and end dates for the reporting interval. Contact Genesys Technical Support for assistance in correcting this presentation flaw (ER# 261156923)

Under certain circumstances, when an Oracle-based Data Mart database contains more than one Genesys Data Mart schema for the same Oracle instance, RGA-generated report files might contain references to schemas other than what you specified at login when connecting to the database. To overcome this issue, Genesys recommends that you copy the desired Data Mart schema to a dedicated Oracle instance that contains no other Genesys Data Mart schemas and regenerate the report using that copy. Optionally, you can manually fix the actual table names in the Query section of report. (ER# 260669936)

Under some circumstances, RGA might not be able to generate reports when it is used to connect to an Oracle-based Data Mart that contains more than one Genesys Data Mart schemas. To generate reports given this configuration, as a workaround, Genesys recommends that you copy the desired Data Mart schema to a dedicated Oracle instance that contains no other Genesys Data Mart schemas and work with that copy. Dates, in the results of daily reports, are displayed with a trailing time component (00:00:00). This time component is not applicable for daily reports. (ER# 147894613)

Discontinued Support

This section documents features that are no longer supported in this software. This cumulative list is in release-number order with the most recently discontinued features at the top of the list.


The RGAssistant.bqy, RGTemplate.bqy, and RGCannedTemplate.bqy documents no longer function with Hyperion 8 software. You must use them within the 11.1.2 suite.
