Supported Operating Systems

Corrections and Modifications

Supported Operating Systems

The operating systems supported by this release are listed in the Contents, above.

New in This Release

This is a hot fix for this product. This section describes new features that were introduced in this release of Pulse.

Corrections and Modifications

This release includes the following corrections and modifications:

Using Firefox, you can now use the sort buttons in charts. Previously for GAX releases 8.1.400.50 through 8.1.400.54, if you used Firefox, the sort buttons did not work. (WBRT-3185)

You can now change the selection of individual statistics on charts. Previously for GAX releases 8.1.400.50 through 8.1.400.54, only Select All worked. (WBRT-3164)

The ability scroll is unavailable while a widget is maximized. Previously on Mac OS, the content of a maximized widget sometimes disappeared after scrolling. (WBRT-2811)

Pulse no longer impacts the performance of the GVP plug-in for GAX. Previously, the GVP plug-in might not work correctly, and the javascript console sometimes displayed an error similar to the following:

Uncaught TypeError: Object #<Object> has no method 'tween' d3.js:1

(WBRT-2839)

The Cancel and close buttons in the Widget Wizard now function correctly when the confirmation in the Please Confirm box for the Statistics screen is accepted or declined. Previously in this scenario, these buttons stopped working. (WBRT-2953)

Release Number 8.1.400.13 [10/31/13] - General (Under Shipping Control)

Supported Operating Systems

Corrections and Modifications

Supported Operating Systems

The operating systems supported by this release are listed in the Contents, above.

New in This Release

This release is under shipping control. This section describes new features that were introduced in this release of Pulse.

Note:This component was previously available as a restricted release.

Corrections and Modifications

This release includes the following corrections and modifications:

Decimal values are now formatted properly when numbers produced by Pulse Collector contain a comma symbol as decimal separator. Previously, you had to use english locale for numbers formatting on the server where Pulse Collector is installed. (WBRT-2573)

Widget grid columns in which no objects are selected now are of a reasonable width after objects are added to the widget. Previously, these columns were reduced to very narrow widths. (WBRT-2098)

Pulse no longer displays console errors, such as Invalid negative value for attribute height that should be ignored. (WBRT-1895)

Pulse Collector has the following new option in the limits section to ensure processing performance that is slow enough to cause browser timeouts:

max-objects-per-layout
Valid Values: 1-100000
Default Value: 400
Changes Take Effect: After restart
Specifies the maximum number of objects for each layout.

Previously, for large layouts where the size, which is number of objects X number of statistics, was more than 4000 or the number of objects was greater than 200-400, processing performance sometimes caused browser timeouts that produced errors similar to the following:

ClientAbortException: java.net.SocketException: Broken pipe

(WBRT-1481)
