This release is under shipping control. This release contains the following new features and functionality in this release of Contact Center Advisor - Mobile Edition (CCAdv-ME) Blackberry Client.
Enhanced security using Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), including backward compatibility with earlier Advisors releases:
Contact Center Advisor (CCAdv) provides security through Role-Based Access Control, which consists of two main parts—functionality privileges and object permissions. CCAdv uses the existing logic (described in detail in the Contact Center Advisors & Workforce Advisors Administrator User’s Guide) to mimic the behavior of these privileges and permissions in the Mobile Edition (ME).
Role-Based Access Control primarily enforces security by allowing or limiting visibility of objects in the interface. What a user sees is determined by his/her assigned roles. If the role that is assigned to the user does not grant them access to certain functionality, that functionality is not visible to the user. For more information about how roles work together with permissions to finely tune what a user can access, see the section, “Roles and Permissions”, Chapter 1, in the Contact Center Advisors & Workforce Advisors Administrator User’s Guide.
Users who have access to ME will also need the following basic access:
Permissions to at least one single Contact Center and/or Application.
Permissions to one of the following objects: Reporting Region, Geo Region, or Operating Unit.
Permissions to at least one metric.
Support for BlackBerry 7.1, 7.0, and 6.0 device platforms, including backward compatibility with earlier Advisors releases.
Compatibility with Advisors Platform versions 8.1.4 and 8.1.3.
Compatibility with Contact Center Advisor versions 8.1.4 and 8.1.3.
The software in this release can be downloaded from Blackberry World. When searching Blackberry World, look for release 8.1.400.1 as the Genesys release number (8.1.400.01) has been truncated on Blackberry site.

When logging in to the CCAdv-ME application from your mobile client device, ensure that you do not use a backslash (\) or colon (:) in the username or password. Authentication fails if you use either of these special characters. (MDS-528)

When running the CCAdv - ME Installer, if you specify Trend charting time profiles to configure the time profiles that will be available in the end user’s Trend charting view, you must use numeric characters only, such as 5, 30, 60, and so on. Do not enter alphabetic characters, such as Now or Half hour. (MDS-521)
