Introduction

This release note applies to all 8.0 releases of Network T-Server for ISCP.

New in This Release

This release of Network T-Server is built with Programmable Gateway Framework (PGF) release number 8.0.000.08. Consult the PGF release note for information on changes that may affect the functionality of your particular type of Network T-Server.

There are no restrictions for this release. There are no new features introduced in the initial 8.0 release of Network T-Server for ISCP.

Known Issues and Recommendations

This section provides the latest information on known issues and recommendations associated with this product.


Network T-Servers do not support warm or hot standby. Instead, they use a load sharing redundancy schema. See the Framework 8.0 Network T-Server Deployment Guide for your T-Server for more information.

Running the Network T-Server for ISCP on the Solaris operating system requires the installation of certain patches to the C++ runtime libraries. The required patches can be obtained in one of two ways:

  1. Install the latest "Recommended and Security Patches" from Sun Microsystems located on the SunSolve web site at http://sunsolve.sun.com/show.do?target=patchpage.

  1. Install the specific patches for the C++ runtime as shown below:

T-Server sometimes incorrectly processes DN configuration data in rare scenarios resulting in a memory corruption and potentially leading to T-Server failure.
