This release includes the following corrections and modifications that were made between Release 7.5 or earlier releases and the initial 7.6 release:
Web API Server now reconnects to the primary Configuration Server correctly after the backup Configuration Server in primary mode is shut down. Previously, the Web API Server would not switch back to the primary Configuration Server correctly in this situation. (ER# 37585881)
The HBUserEnteredSession
and HBUserExitedSession
events now return the user name correctly. Previously, these events did not return the user name. (ER# 59116179)
Web API Server (including Web API Server for WebLogic and WebSphere) now correctly re-establishes any connection to Configuration Server that has been dropped. Previously, a CFGAppSecurityViolation
error would be generated. (ER# 94270811, WL ER# 110247624)
Combined chat and co-browse sessions now work correctly on Solaris. Previously, the CUSTOMER_COBROWSING_ID
value was not always sent to an agent. (WL ER# 121851265)
Web API Server now offers reports about the current configuration option settings, and dynamic changes to those settings. This is new functionality for release 7.6.x. (WL ER# 95647935)
This release also includes all fixes made in previous releases of this product (including hot fix releases) at the time of this initial 7.6 release.
This section provides the latest information on known issues and recommendations associated with this product.
WebAPI server does not detect disconnection from Solution Control Server if the connection is idle. (ER# 201361071, WL ER# 217706741, WS ER# 217706743)
Found In: 7.6.100.01 | Fixed In: |
Web API Server (including Web API Server for WebLogic and WebSphere) does not support ADDP connections to Stat Server. (ER# 104132641, WL ER# 112929631)
Found In: 7.5.000.10 | Fixed In: |
After a switchover to the Backup Message Server, the Web API Server (including Web API Server for WebLogic and WebSphere) fails to connect to the Backup Message Server application. In the case of a switchover back to the Primary Message Server (where the Primary Message Server resumes the primary role), the Web API Server connects to the Primary Message Server without incident. (ER# 81760833, WL ER# 94518860)
Found In: 7.5.000.10 | Fixed In: |
Web API Server (including Web API Server for WebLogic and WebSphere) does not dynamically respond when changes are made to the Configuration Server configuration. It ignores configuration changes when an Advanced Disconnect Detection Protocol (ADDP) connection to the Configuration Server is added or removed from an application connection. (ER# 108466728, WL ER# 112307371)
Found In: 7.5.000.09 | Fixed In: |
The load-balancing servlet does not send any disconnection or status change messages to Local Control Agent (LCA) when the Web application is stopped in the WebLogic or WebSphere server. As a result, the Web application is shown as active in Solution Control Server (SCS). (WS ER# 175433781, WL ER# 175433781)
Found In: 7.1.000.07 | Fixed In: |
The load-balancing servlet writes debug messages that are not controlled by the log library to the console, causing the following limitations:

When the load-balancing servlet cannot connect to the Configuration Server, it is designed to retrieve the backup Configuration Server host
and port
settings from the servlet parameters in the web.xml
file. However, even when the servlet is able to connect to Configuration Server, it still uses the backup parameters from the web.xml
file (instead of retrieving the backup parameters from the Configuration Server itself). (ER# 82531)
