Corrections and Modifications
This is a hot fix release of this product. This release does not contain new features or functionality.
This release includes the following corrections and modifications:
If a client application sends a corrupted message, UCS Proxy disconnects it. Previously in this situation, UCS Proxy entered a 100-percent CPU loop and stopped processing interactions. (ESR-7948)

There are no restrictions for this release. This section describes new features that were introduced in this release of Universal Contact Server Proxy.
This release includes the following correction and modification:
UCS Proxy no longer requires the setup of the GES_HOME_8x
environment variable before installing the software. (ER# 300662533)
If UCS Proxy loses connections to UCS and Config Server at the same time, it closes its ESP port. The ESP port will reopen once both connections to UCS and Config Server are recovered. Previously in this scenario, UCS Proxy sometimes terminated abruptly. (ER# 317507060)

Corrections and Modifications
There are no restrictions for this release. No new features were introduced in this release of Universal Contact Server Proxy.
This release includes the following corrections and modifications:
Now, if UCS Proxy loses its connection to UCS, it first closes its own listening port while attempting to reconnect to a UCS. Therefore, clients are notified instantly and can apply their reconnection procedures. Previously, when UCS Proxy lost its connection to UCS, UCS Proxy clients were not notified and sent requests were never responded to. (ER# 304580011)
UCS Proxy now reconnects correctly to the backup UCS during a switchover.
Previously, in a standard deployment setup, with UCS primary/backup and UCS
Proxy primary/backup where UCS Proxy primary is connected to UCS primary, a
switchover of UCS was automatically causing a switchover of UCS Proxy. (ER#
309802323)

UCS Proxy no longer incorrectly reconnects to UCS in the scenario described in this Corrections item. (ER# 200827901)
This section provides the latest information on known issues and recommendations associated with this product.
When in TIME_WAIT
status, Universal Contact Server (UCS) Proxy cannot re-use a client-side port. As a result, if the connection is lost (to Config Server, for example) UCS Proxy needs a few seconds to reconnect. This delay depends on the Operating System.
When trying to start a UCS Proxy which is already running, the following misleading message may be displayed:
Std 55001 Failed to connect to configuration server at '<cfg srv host>':'<cfg srv port>' using application <application name>(ContactServer)
.
(ER# 283468070)

You still have to set up the GES_HOME_8x
environment variable when you install the UCS proxy.
Any value will work. (ER# 300662533)

Universal Contact Server Proxy (UCS Proxy) incorrectly reconnects to Universal Contact Server (UCS) when it is removed from its connections after a switchover. See the following scenario for details.
Scenario:
1. Start UCS Proxy.
2. Delete UCS from its connections.
3. Switch UCS Proxy to backup mode. The result is that UCS Proxy backup is connected to UCS.
4. Switch back UCS Proxy to primary. The result is that UCS Proxy is connected to UCS.
