Contrary to what is said in the Multimedia 7.6 Deployment Guide, UCS Proxy does not work with Genesys Agent Desktop or with any desktop that connects using Interaction SDK. However, a custom desktop that connects using Platform SDK Contact does work with UCS Proxy.
Universal Contact Server Proxy (UCSProxy) incorrectly reconnects to Universal Contact Server (UCS) when it is removed from its connections after a switchover. See the following scenario for details.
Scenario:
1. Start UCSProxy.
2. Delete UCS from its connections.
3. Switch UCSProxy to backup mode. The result = UCSProxy backup is connected to UCS.
4. Switch back UCSProxy to primary. The result = UCSProxy is connected to UCS.
