Introduction

As of February 1, 2012, Genesys is no longer an affiliate of Alcatel-Lucent; any indication of such affiliation within Genesys products or packaging is no longer applicable. Please see the Genesys website at http://www.genesyslab.com for more details.

This release note applies to all 8.1 releases of Java Environment and Libraries for eServices and UCS. Prior to release 8.0.1 this product was called Multimedia Third Party Components.

Genesys follows applicable third-party redistribution policies to the extent that Genesys solutions utilize third-party functionality. For additional information on third-party software used in this product, see the Read Me. Please contact your technical support representative if you have any questions.

Known Issues and Recommendations

This release of eServices adds support for 64-bit native Windows and Linux. However, the installation package for Java Environment and Libraries for eServices and UCS contains 32 bit JRE only. To work with 64 bit JRE for UNIX, or with 64 bit JDK for Windows, you must download that JRE or JDK, then manually reconfigure the applications as described in the "Deploying Java Components on 64-bit Windows and UNIX" chapter of the eServices 8.1 Deployment Guide.
