If a client application sends a message that cannot be recognized, Interaction Server Proxy disconnects it. Previously in this situation, Interaction Server Proxy entered a 100-percent CPU loop and stopped serving clients. (ESR-8093)

This release corrects the rare scenario in which the Proxy Client might have been mistakenly disconnected by the initiative of Interaction Server Proxy. (ESR-7828)


In this release, client applications are no longer required to be registered with Interaction Server in order to use External Service Protocol (ESP) requests. Interaction Server Proxy has lifted this restriction to support the features implemented in the Interaction Workspace Plug-ins for Twitter and Facebook. (ESR-7826, ESR-7568)

Known Issues and Recommendations

This section provides the latest information on known issues and recommendations associated with this product.


If an Interaction Server is removed from Interaction Server Proxy's list of connections, Interaction Server Proxy will continue to connect to it in the following scenario:

  1. Interaction Server Proxy is started.
  2. An Interaction Server is deleted from its list of connections.
  3. Interaction Server Proxy switches to Backup mode and then back to Primary mode.
  4. Interaction Server Proxy connects to the Interaction Server that was removed from the connections list.
