This is a hot fix for this product. No new features were introduced in this release of E-mail Server Java.
In some rare cases, an issue arises for E-mail Server Java in decoding e-mails with the body in the UTF-7 encoding. Now when E-mail Server Java encounters this issue, it builds a wrapping message that includes the un-decoded message content. Previously, E-mail Server Java exited when it encountered this issue. Corrections and Modifications
This is a hot fix for this product. This section describes new features that were introduced in this release of E-mail Server Java.
It is now possible to increase the timeout for loading objects from Configuration Server.
This may be useful if loading the objects takes more than two minutes.
If that happens during E-mail Server Java startup or Configuration Server switchover,
it can cause configuration cache loading to fail with the error
Cache loading failed : Configuration Server : timeout !
To modify the timeout, add the parameter -Dcfg.object.timeout=180000
to
the setini.bat
and startServer.bat
files:
setini.bat
file:
echo JavaArgs= -Xmx512M -Dcfg.object.timeout=180000 -Dtkv.multibytes=true -Djava.class.path=%COMP_CLASSPATH%
-Dgenesys.cfglib=%LICENSE% -Djava.endorsed.dirs=%ENDORSED%
startServer.bat
file:
%JAVACMD% -server -Xmx512M -Dcfg.object.timeout=180000 -Dtkv.multibytes="true" -Dgenesys.cfglib="%LICENSE%"
-Djava.endorsed.dirs="%ENDORSED%" -classpath "%COMP_CLASSPATH%" com.genesyslab.icc.emailserver.EmailServer -app ESJ_Test -host suite803 -port 2020 %*
A valid value of this parameter is any nonnegative integer. The value is in milliseconds, so 180000 is three minutes. The default is 120000 (two minutes). (ER# 260670481)
There are no corrections or modifications in this release.

E-mail Server Java now correctly handles e-mails with an invalid domain in the From

Previously, these e-mails could get locked in the corporate e-mail system. (ER# 239636750, 226829494)
E-mail Server Java now logs a message at the Standard level when it receives an e-mail
whose To

This release includes the following corrections and modifications:
In some rare cases, when an SMTP connection between the corporate mail server and E-mail Server Java has been idle for a long time, the corporate mail server times out the connection. Now in this scenario, E-mail Server Java closes this connection to the corporate mail server. Previously, the following happened:
In a scenario in which there is a mismatch between the filename of an attached file and the encoded format of the file, E-mail Server Java now returns the original filename without attempting to decode it. Previously, this scenario caused E-mail Server Java to exit. (ER# 200943013)
E-mail Server Java now correctly handles scenarios where the subject line of an e-mail has been changed, such as when an Out of Office reply is received from a customer. In earlier versions, there was no way to prevent an autoresponse from E-mail Server Java in this scenario. (ER# 200402491)
E-mail Server Java is now able to quote an e-mail with a null SentDate
field. Previously, this would cause an exception error. (ER# 199726007)
Previously, while an external partner sent back an InboundCollaborationReply
, custom fields would not be populated when the original interaction was left in queue. Now, E-mail Server Java requests the current value of attached data from the original inbound e-mail received from the customer. (ER# 197833957)
Previously, in the following scenario e-mails could become stuck:
Redirect E-mail
block is used in a strategy.Redirect E-mail
specifies a queue name that does not exist.EventError
with the message Unknown queue specified in request
.E-mail Server Java now correctly attempts to connect to the primary Message Server on startup. Previously, E-mail Server Java would first attempt to connect to the backup Message Server, which resulted in an Alarm being generated in Solution Control Interface. (ER# 181518771)
E-mail Server Java now supports the Internationalizing Domain Names in Applications (IDNA) system for e-mail addresses. (ER# 173370362, 188378851)

E-mail Server Java now starts correctly even if it is connected to a Configuration Server Proxy that has a different port number from Configuration Server. (ER# 80968978)
If an interaction's date has an ill-formed GMT part, E-mail Server Java substitutes the current date and processes the interaction as usual. Previously, E-mail Server Java failed to parse such interactions. (ER# 123932456)
This release also includes all fixes made in previous releases of this product (including hot fix releases) at the time of this initial 7.6 release.
