The following information applies to Genesys 7.6.x software and is important for you to note:

This release of Multimedia Configuration Wizards supports Microsoft Windows Vista.

The Multimedia Configuration Wizard includes the following sequence:

Create or select a Database Access Point (DAP).

If you choose to create a DAP, you must then

Create or select a DB Server to associate with the DAP.

If you choose to select an existing DB Server, the list of DB Server objects that the wizard offers you omits any that were created using the default template. This is because the option dbprocess_name has the default value ./dbclient_sybase on the template, but Multimedia does not support Sybase. As a workaround, do any one of the following:

In Step 1, select an existing DAP rather than creating a new one.
In Step 2, create a new DB Server object rather than selecting an existing one.
In the existing DB Server Application, change the value of dbprocess_name to one of the RDBMS that Multimedia supports: ./dbclient_db2, ./dbclient_msql, or ./dbclient_oracle.
