The name of the Multimedia product was changed to eServices in release 8.0.1.

This release supports Windows 7 in builds issued after 08/16/10. These builds are available on the Interaction Management CD version 8.0.102.00 or later. You may also contact your Genesys representative for a recent build.

The 8.0.1 Wizard refers to a Genesys Web Media CD. This is incorrect: the CD is called Genesys Chat in the 8.0.1 release. (ER# 247656271)

To connect to Chat Server, Interaction Server must use Chat Server's ESP port. However, the eServices Configuration Wizards incorrectly use Chat Server's default port to connect Interaction Server to Chat Server. To work around this, after completing the Configuration Wizards, change the connection as follows:

  1. Go to the Connections tab of the Interaction Server Application object.
  2. Select the connection to Chat Server.
  3. In the Port ID drop-down list, select ESP, then click OK.
Chat Server must also have a properly-configured ESP port, as described in the Chat Server Release Note. (ER# 250321981)

  1. Create or select a Database Access Point (DAP).
If you choose to create a DAP, you must then
  1. Create or select a DB Server to associate with the DAP.
If you choose to select an existing DB Server, the list of DB Server objects that the wizard offers omits any that were created using the default template. This is because the option dbprocess_name has the default value ./dbclient_sybase on the template, but Multimedia does not support Sybase. As a workaround, do any one of the following: (ER# 171081714)
