This release includes the following correction and modification:
Local Control Agent (LCA) now uses the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) service to collect and report information about hosts, processes, services, and performance on Windows 2003 systems, both 32-bit and 64-bit versions. This WMI service must be installed and started on the host machine on which LCA is running. Previously, LCA used another method to collect and report information, which worked correctly only for applications running on Windows 2003 32-bit systems. (ER# 247410553)

This release includes the following corrections and modifications:
Connections management has been improved so that LCA always handles
an Application stop correctly. Previously, an Application disconnection
message was sometimes not recognized by LCA, so when the user tried to
restart the Application, LCA would refuse the request and issue the error
message Application is already started.
(ER# 161983210)
LCA now reports the correct state for a stopped
application (STOPPED
) to the backup Solution Control Server
(SCS) if the application:
startup timeout
expired, but not
by the Management Layer. Previously in this scenario, LCA did not report any status for the
application to the backup SCS, which considered the application to be in the
START_PENDING
state.
(ER# 189368031)
LCA no longer closes its connection with Solution Control Server (SCS) if SCS sends a request to stop an application that, for some reason, is not registered with LCA.
Previously, this situation may have occurred, for example, as a result of
the scenario described in ER# 189368031. In
that scenario, after the SCS switchover, the backup SCS (in Primary mode)
considered the application to be in the START_PENDING
state and
tried to stop it. Because the application was already stopped, LCA instead
temporarily closed its connection with SCS.
