This release contains the following corrections and modifications:
Because of an issue with the definition of the process_current
and process_current_version
views, incorrect versions of
processes were sometimes used for data aggregation, which resulted in tasks from certain departments being skipped and their GTL_STAT
values not being updated. View definitions now correctly
select the current version of the process as the one with the valid_to
value set in the future, instead of the one with with the largest 'version' number. (IWD-4377)

This release contains the following corrections and modifications:
To improve the performance of the Load Intraday job, three new parameters have been added to the Kettle ETL Service:
numberOfThreads
—Defines the number of worker threads for the Load Intraday job. Must be a positive integer.ignoredDimensions
—A comma-separated list of dimensions that are to be ignored by the Load Intraday job. Must be in lower case. defaultDimensionKey
—The default value to be used for the keys of ignored dimensions. Value must be numeric, or leave as default in case of NULL.(IWD-3502)

This release contains the following corrections and modifications:
A slowdown in the performance of IWD DataMart ETL jobs has been corrected by making the Aggregate Intraday plugin more efficient. (IWD-3495)
A performance improvement in iWD Data Mart has been made by disabling the TRG_MARK_STOPPED_IXN
trigger. To implement the improvement,
the Event Log database schema must be updated as follows:
Services
tab.Configure Ixn Custom Properties
.Configure Ixn Custom Properties
button. If the Event Log database is running on an Oracle database engine, you must also manually truncate the AUX_IXNIDS_STOPPED_AT
table. (IWD-3490)

This is a hot fix for this product. There are no new features or functionality in this release of iWD Data Mart:
This release contains the following corrections and modifications:
Problems with the way data from the RPT_ESP
table was processed, resulting in the Prune job failing to finish and in
KettleETLService
exceptions, have been addressed in this hot fix. As a result, the RPT_ESP
table is no longer needed. Please read the following notes
for details of how to handle the impacts of this change as they apply to your environment.
Note 1
If the Event Log database is running on a DB2 database engine, before installing this hot fix, verify that no TRG_DELETE_RESP
trigger is defined. If such a trigger is defined, drop it.
Note 2
The Data Mart Prune job now no longer purges the RPT_ESP table
in the Event Log database. This purge must now be done manually after installing this hot fix.
Do this as follows:
RPT_ESP
table.Note: After the RPT_ESP
table is truncated, the iWD GTL History
tab will not display information about
rules' names (relating to old tasks) applied to interactions (RULE_APPLIED
events). (Information about rules' names relating to new tasks will be displayed.)
If this information is needed, postpone the truncation (step 2). However, customers must
take responsibility to purge the RPT_ESP
table at a later time.
AUX_ESP_RESPONDED_AT
table.
AUX_IXNIDS_STOPPED_AT
table.Note 3

This release contains the following corrections and modifications:
The SQL query for Oracle and MySQL that moves data from intraday to historical tables now uses explicit column names instead of relying on the column order returned by the database engine. (IWD-3420)
Held status is now checked for tasks in all states. Previously it was checked only for tasks in the queued state. (IWD-3395)

This release contains the following corrections or modifications:
Data Mart now performs connection validation on borrows-from and returns-to the connection pool.
Additionally, when the Oracle database is used, the Load Intraday job sets a read timeout for queries. By default
this is set to 10 minutes, but this can be changed by resetting the value of the
-DLoadIntraday.oracle.jdbc.ReadTimeout=timeout_in_miliseconds
parameter for JVM. (IWD-3353)
Data Mart no longer relies on ESP call events to register prioritization or classification. This change introduces the following restrictions for naming strategies in business processes:
Classification
Prioritization
For example, the strategy name Prioritization_custom
is acceptable, but Custom_Prioritization
is not.
Additionally you can now configure the size of batches in which Event Log events are processed by the
Load Intraday job. For this purpose the batchSize
parameter has been added to the Kettle ETL Service service.
(IWD-3354)
An occasional problem with the Load Intraday job failing with the message Protocol violation: [id1, id2, .., idN]
has been corrected.

iWD Data Mart now loads configuration information about distribution points in the same way as the rest of the iWD solution. See Known Issues. (ER# 319315311)
The cleanup processing of the Load Intraday job has been modified to ensure that the job can recover correctly if, before failure, task work facts are inserted. Previously, the job could not recover in this scenario. (ER# 320152051)

iWD is now integrated with Genesys Rules System (GRS), enabling client applications, such as the IWD Business Process (IWDBP), to make requests to the Genesys Rules Engine (GRE) to have rules in the rule package evaluated at various decision points in a tasks lifecycle. This integration has led to the following changes:
Business rule templates are now created and edited in the Genesys Rules Development Tool, an Eclipse-based GUI. They are no longer created in iWD Manager.
Business rules are now created and edited through the Genesys Rules Authoring Tool, which can be launched from iWD Manager through a single sign-on mechanism. They are no longer authored within iWD Manager.
Users will still create and modify the business structure (Solution/Department/Process) through iWD Manager, but will now push any changes to the Genesys Rules System, by using an option in iWD Manager.
The iWD Business Process (IWDBP) is now updated to integrate with the Genesys Rules Engine.
The Global Task List in iWD Manager is enhanced in the following ways:
Several new filter criteria can be used to create custom filters for the Global Task List.
Any custom attribute can be added as a column in the task list, when a custom filter is created for the Global Task List.
User-friendly on-screen labels that enhance how these attributes appear on the Global Task List can be created for any iWD custom attribute. This is done within a resource file that resides under the iWD Manager web application on the customers application server.
The Global Task List can display an icon for each different interaction (task) media type. Out-of-the-box icons are provided for many media types, and new icons can be uploaded into iWD Manager for custom media types, or to replace any of the out-of-the-box icons that are provided by iWD.
Enhanced support for the Genesys Social Engagement solution. When the Configuration Server tenant's properties include the section iwd.profile
with the social-messaging
option set to true
, iWD Manager automatically creates the configuration objects and executes the database updates that are necessary for social media interactions to be properly displayed in the iWD Global Task List.
A new type of service template is introduced called Generic Capture Point, that is used when an Interaction Server Integrated Capture Point is added to an iWD Solution. The Generic Capture Point establishes a Capture Point ID
and Capture Point Name
for the Integrated Capture Point, to ensure that interactions (tasks) that are captured through that Integrated Capture Point are visible through the iWD Global Task List, can be referenced within iWD business rules, and are properly tracked within the iWD Data Mart.
Changes to platform support. For a detailed description of the platform support changes in this release, see the intelligent Workload Distribution ReadMe.
There are no corrections or modifications in this release.
This section provides the latest information on known issues and recommendations associated with this product.
iWD Data Mart loads configuration information about distribution points from the DistributionPoints
lookup table
but the rest of the solution uses the distributionPoints
lookup table (with a lower case 'd').
To allow Data Mart to load the distribution point information, it is necessary to create two lookup tables under the same
managed tenant: distributionPoints
and DistributionPoints
and to have the same set of
distribution points described in both. (ER# 319315311)
