This release contains the following corrections and modifications:
iWD Database Capture Point (DBCP) now correctly handles messages about stopped interactions. By default, DBCP recognizes the tasks by their capture ID. When an interaction is stopped, the incoming message contains only the interaction ID. DBCP cannot retrieve the capture ID to properly update its capture table, because the interaction is already deleted from the Interaction Server database.
Workaround:
interactionId, type: varchar(16)
capturedUpdateSql
statement, store the interaction ID in the field,
as follows: update some_table set status='captured', interactionId=:taskId where id=:captureId
completedUpdateSql
statement, use :taskId
instead of
:captureId
, as follows: update some_table set status='completed' where interactionId=:taskId
(ER# 277603321)

This section describes new features that were introduced in this release of iWD Capture.
This release includes the following corrections and modifications since the previous release of this software:
iWD Webservice Capture Point now supports the ISO 8601 standard. The timeZoneIsSupplied
configuration option enables this functionality. Setting this option enables the Webservice Capture Point to use the time zone you have configured. If this option is not configured, the time zone from the host or tenant will be used.
Note: Previously, time zone settings were ignored. (ER# 285877537)
iWD Capture Points no longer allow the completion of task that is already in the Completed status. Previously, iWD Capture Points allowed tasks that had already been completed successfully to be completed again several times without generating an error message. (ER# 283811550)
iWD Database Capture Point can now validate the connection to the capture database. Two new properties are used to enable this functionality:
validateConnection
—Enables and disables the validation of the connection to the capture database.validationQuery
—Enables a query to determine if the connection to the capture database is active. The default query works with Oracle databases.
For other RDBMSs, Genesys recommends that you use a query that returns at least one row. This is important because if your query returns zero rows the validation will fail. If you do have a query that returns zero rows, Genesys recommends that you complete the following steps:
TABLE
in your database that contains one integer
field and one row.select * from <THAT_TABLE>
.(ER# 276270404)

iWD Database Capture Point incorrectly handles the stopping of interactions when running in a High Availability configuration. In this configuration, it is possible that both iWD Capture Points will run in primary mode, which might result in multiple interactions being created for the same task. (ER# 277603321)

Figure 3 ("Task Life Cycle") in the intelligent Workload Distribution 8.0 Deployment Guide currently shows that Assigned
tasks can be Held/Resumed
. This is incorrect; Assigned
tasks cannot be put on hold.

The description of the HoldTask
message in Appendix A of the intelligent Workload Distribution 8.0 Deployment Guide incorrectly states "Only tasks that are not held, completed, canceled, or rejected can be held". It should state "Only tasks that are not held, assigned, completed, canceled, or rejected can be held".

The ACME Sample Application webforms will generate an error message when you try to submit them to create a task. This is because in 8.0.001.06, the Web Service Capture Point now has a mandatory parameter createdDateTime
. This parameter must be present in the createTask
message, but its value can be NULL
.
Workaround: Edit the dbutility.php
file. This file is included as part of the ACME sample when you install the iWD Manager IP. If you choose the default destination path it will be in C:\Program Files\GCTI\iWD Manager\acme\web
. Add the following row to the dbutility.php
file:
$params->createdDateTime = NULL;
This row should be added between these existing rows near the bottom of the file:
$params->activationDateTime = NULL;
$params->dueDateTime = NULL;

For more information on discontinued support for operating environments and databases, see "Discontinued Support" in the Genesys Supported Operating Environment Reference Guide.
In iWD 8.0, the XML File Capture Adapter does not support the concept of "task batch" as in iWD 7.6.1. In iWD 8.0, multiple tasks may still be captured from a single XML file, but they are not grouped together in any way for the purposes of processing or filtering through the Global Task List.
