The Interaction Workspace Plug-In for Genesys Agent Scripting now always executes the MarkProcessed command for outbound interactions.

Note: Outbound Contact Server (OCS) might reject the MarkProcessed command with the agent did not own a record message. If other non-desktop applications (like an IVR) receive a transfer request, the application cannot mark a record as processed. To resolve this, set the Outbound _record_processed_ option to false, which specifies whether OCS will wait for the agent’s signal to finish record processing.

(GAS-893)

You can now navigate to Genesys Agent Scripting through the plug-in without encountering an error. Previously, if you were navigating to Genesys Agent Scripting while the desktop was being updated with Universal Contact Server (UCS), an exception occurred. (GAS-944)

Supported Operating Systems

New in This Release

There are no restrictions for this release. This section describes new features that were introduced in this release of Interaction Workspace Plug-In For Genesys Agent Scripting.

Corrections and Modifications

This release includes the following corrections and modifications:

Interaction Workspace Plug-In For Genesys Agent Scripting now properly manages Twitter and Facebook interactions within Interaction Workspace. Previously, the plug-in sometimes caused a blank window to display. (ER# 305813311)

An interaction in Interaction Workspace can now be closed by clicking the X icon in the upper right corner of its window, even if Genesys Agent Scripting Server is not available. (ER# 304209110)

An Interaction Workspace Plug-In For Genesys Agent Scripting query now uses only scripts from the current agent tenant. Previously, queries used scripts from all tenants. (ER# 305492131)

For Outbound campaign interactions, the Interaction Workspace Plug-In For Genesys Agent Scripting does not hide the Done button in Interaction Workspace, when configured to do so. (ER# 305228357)

The Interaction Workspace canUse privilege determines if a user can use the Interaction Workspace Plug-in for Genesys Agent Scripting. To configure this privilege, follow these steps:

  1. Configure the Interaction Workspace application object.
Note: To use role-based access control, you must use Genesys Administrator to configure Interaction Workspace and the Interaction Workspace Plug-in for Agent Scripting.
  2. Install Interaction Workspace.
  3. Install and configure the Interaction Workspace Plug-in for Agent Scripting.
  4. Open the Interaction Workspace Plug-in for Agent Scripting and export its configuration options.
  5. Import the options into your Interaction Workspace Application, selecting No when asked if you want to overwrite the existing data.
  6. Assign the privilege Interaction Workspace - Can Use Plugin for Agent Scripting.

(ER# 303749781)

The Interaction Workspace Plug-In For Genesys Agent Scripting now ignores scripts that do not have the ProjectBook parameter. Previously, this situation would generate the error System.ArgumentNullException. (ER# 300926555)

The Interaction Workspace Plug-In For Genesys Agent Scripting now assigns a script to an Outbound preview campaign. (ER# 298928793)

Interaction Workspace now closes upon call transfer. Previously, if the AIL parameter enable-auto-markdone-on-transfer was set to true, the Genesys Agent Scripting server applied Mark Done but did not notify Interaction Workspace about the change, so the window could be closed only by clicking the Genesys Agent Scripting Mark Done button. Known Issues and Recommendations

This section provides the latest information on known issues and recommendations associated with this product.

The Genesys Agent Scripting tab is not automatically activated on the next Outbound Preview interaction when option interaction-workspace/agent-scripting.auto-focus is set to false. (GAS-1100)
Found In:  8.1.202.08 Fixed In:

When autofocus is disabled on the GAS tab in WDE, the GAS tab becomes optional which may lead to an unwanted condition where an agent cannot mark the interaction as Done. In this case it is recommended that the Support Mark Done feature (found under File > Settings > Advanced tab) is disabled when option interaction-workspace/agent-scripting.auto-focus is set to false. (GAS-1101)
Found In:  8.1.202.08 Fixed In:

It might not be possible to force close an interaction when GAS has lost control over the interaction due to an error or misbehavior. To prevent this situation on the Genesys Agent Scripting side, set interaction-workspace/interaction.unconditional-force-close to true which allows the force close action on the Workspace Desktop Edition side. (GAS-1102)
Found In:  8.1.202.08 Fixed In:

In some instances, the first multimedia interaction does not provide attached data in GAS. Page refresh does not help. (GAS-1061)
Found In:  8.1.202.01 Fixed In:

To avoid a blank Genesys Agent Scripting tab when the tab is resized to minimum, use Interaction Workspace version 8.1.400.24 or higher. (ER# 317204627)

For multimedia interactions, Interaction Workspace Plug-in for Genesys Agent Scripting integration is limited according to GAS-1024 (documented in the Genesys Agent Scripting 8.1.x Release Note).

To enable support of multimedia (chat and email) and Outbound Push Preview campaigns:

  1. Enable media with the following Interaction Workspace application option (introduced in 8.1.200.18):

    Section: interaction-workspace
    Option Name:
    agent-scripting.media-enabled
    Default Value: voice,preview
    Valid Values: voice,chat,email,preview,pushPreview
Changes take effect: When the application is started or restarted.
Description: Specifies whether agent scripting needs to be activated for specific media. Outbound interactions in Progressive and Predictive modes will be treated as voice. An empty value hides Genesys Agent Scripting for all media.

  2. Configure the following option in the Interaction Workspace application with value IE9 and higher:

    Section: interaction-workspace
    Option Name:
    agent-scripting.browser-emulation-version
Default Value: empty (preserve current GAS plug-in behavior)
    Valid Values: IE9,IE10,IE11
Changes take effect: When the application is started or restarted.
Description: Specifies which version of MS Internet Explorer GAS plug-in uses as embedded browser.

(GAS-992)

Found In:  8.1.200.18 Fixed In:

Outbound actions are not available for the Push Preview interaction. (GAS-1012)

Found In:  8.1.200.18 Fixed In:

After declining an Outbound interaction, Interaction Workspace displays the Done button. (ER#s 321314591)

Found In:  8.1.200.12 Fixed In:

Closing Interaction Workspace does not unregister the DN, which may cause some memory leakage in the Genesys Agent Scripting server. (ER# 304367341)

Found In:  8.1.000.16 Fixed In:

The Genesys Agent Scripting Interaction Workspace Plug-in cannot handle more than one interaction simultaneously. (ER# 299111843)

Found In:  8.1.000.17 Fixed In: 8.1.200.13
