Introduction

This release note applies to all 7.5 releases of IVR Driver for WVR for AIX.

• Links in the Contents section enable you to access information regarding a specific release. Releases are listed by version number rather than in date order. For this reason, a recent release may be listed after earlier releases, if the version number is lower. Except when otherwise noted in the information for a specific release, each release includes all of the features and corrections that were introduced for the applicable operating system at earlier dates, regardless of the version numbering.
• The Release Number table lists the supported operating systems for each release at a high level. For more detailed information, see the Genesys Supported Operating Systems and Databases Reference Manual.
• The Known Issues and Recommendations section is a cumulative list. It includes information on when individual items were found and, if applicable, corrected.
• The Corrections and Modifications section for each release may list additional issues that were corrected without first being documented as Known Issues.
• The Discontinued Support section is cumulative. It lists functionality that is no longer supported and the release number of the version in which support was discontinued.
• The IVR Library is common code used by all Genesys IVR Drivers. You can find information about changes and corrections to functionality common to all products that use the IVR Library in the release note for IVR Library 7.5.x.

Note: Genesys follows applicable third-party redistribution policies to the extent that Genesys solutions utilize functionality of commercial or non-commercial third parties.

Supported Operating Systems

New in This Release

This is a hot fix for this product. This release documents a product limitation, and contains a new feature for a workaround to minimize impact.

In some cases, IVR Library may become unresponsive in a way that normal call processing stops. This happens only in the case where after a normal startup, IVR Library observes that its connection to Configuration Server has ended (typically, Configuration Server was stopped or its switchover occurred), and IVR Library has attempted to reconnect to Configuration Server.

• This release of IVR Driver for WVR for AIX is built with IVR Library 7.5.004.04.
• A new configuration option, cfgServerReconnect, has been added to the ivr_server_interface section of the IVR Driver application.
  
  cfgServerReconnect
  Default Value: false
  Valid Values: true, false
  Changes Take Effect: Immediately unless the IVR Driver is no longer connected to Configuration Server, in which case changes take effect after the IVR Driver is restarted.
  
  With the default setting of false, the IVR Driver operates normally, observing any configuration changes until the Configuration Server connection fails for any reason. After that, the IVR Driver will continue to operate normally, but no longer be aware of any further configuration changes. With the setting of true, the IVR Driver will attempt to reconnect to Configuration Server; however, this may cause the IVR Driver to become unresponsive as described above. (ER# 194644431)

Supported Operating Systems

New in This Release

There are no restrictions for this release. This section describes new features that were introduced in the initial 7.5 release of IVR Driver for WVR for AIX.

• Starting with this release, the IVR Driver for WVR for AIX supports the optional use of the Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocol to secure data transfer between its components. TLS is an industry-standard protocol for secure communications on the Internet, and is the successor of SSL 3.0. This feature is only available for certain operating systems and versions. For more information, see the Genesys Transport Layer 7.5 Security Deployment Guide.

• This release of IVR Driver for WVR for AIX is built with IVR Library 7.5.002.00.
