Corrections and Modifications
There are no restrictions for this release. This section describes new features that were introduced in this release of Interaction Routing Designer.
SubmitNew
function (Submit New Interaction object) in tandem with Interaction Server, facilitating the creation of new interactions and helping to build end-to-end workflow.
This release also includes the following corrections and modifications:
IRD now correctly imports all strategy blocks when importing a strategy with an .xml
file type. Previously, when importing
this strategy file type, IRD might not have linked error ports for some blocks in the strategy. (ER# 260646244)
Interaction Workflow Designer (IWD) windows can now be closed without ill effects when the IRD main window remains maximized. Previously, IRD might occasionally terminate operation in such a scenario. (ER# 162964082)
In this release of IRD, EventError
is no longer excluded from the list of events for the SuspendForEvent
function. (ER# 173677153)
IRD's integrity checking now correctly validates strategies with Multimedia objects that use standard response configuration values (Chat transcript, Screen, Acknowledgement, and so on). (ER# 197346076)
To reduce IRD startup time, the IRD subsystem code has been optimized to perform faster initialization.(ER# 236015031)
A problem in IRD's integrity checking has been fixed in which IRD (in previous releases) would respond with an error to indicate nonexistent interaction data in business attribute objects. (ER# 236398330)
IRD no longer terminates operation on some occasions when working with Multimedia objects that use standard responses. (ER# 237612274)
To increase performance and speed, IRD no longer automatically rereads permissions on notifications about changes in access groups. (ER# 241729878)
When a requested password change fails, IRD now correctly reports that the password change request has failed. Previously, IRD reported that the password had been changed in this situation. (ER# 247418823)

This release includes the following corrections and modifications that were made between Release 7.6 or earlier releases and the initial 8.0 release:
IRD 8.0 corrects an issue that occurred when exporting a strategy into xml format. Previously, corruptions in object positions could occur when a strategy was exported into xml format and then reimported. (ER# 213351943)
In the Business Segmentation object for this release of IRD, when deleting a business segment in a strategy, the last segment of the business segment no longer replaces the segment that is moved up in the segment order. (ER# 229663986)
IRD 8.0 corrects an error whereby, while importing a strategy, an apostrophe character ('
) was added to the target name in the Target Selection object when the Stat Server was not specified. (ER# 229729430)
