Known Issues and Recommendations

This section provides the latest information on known issues and recommendations associated with this product.

When PSTNC is run under load on a CAS configuration in a Linux environment, some calls may be dropped before being answered. (ER# 316677971).

Found In: 8.1.411.27 Fixed In:

Due to third party software issues, the PSTN Connector is not supported on Windows 2008 R2 or Windows 2008 64-bit.

Found In: 8.1.401.92 Fixed In:

Deploying any GVP Windows IP through Genesys Administrator may occasionally result in the following error, although the actual deployments are completed successfully:

Execution of installation failed. Retcode = 1

(ER# 258776961)

Found In: 8.1.300.86 Fixed In:

During load testing, the following ec_stream busy error was thrown in TDM channels during media playback:

Got GCEV_OFFERED and media is not idle, forcing media idle. [BrMVoxSt=1] [MVoxFwSt=1 = CS_IDLE] [BrCallSt=Accept].
Stop mvox is pending since 2010/07/06 01:57:56.615
startStreaming: Failed to start streaming for device [0x158]. ec_stream ERROR :: DLGC ERR API dxxxB24C4ec_streamDevice busy
Failed to start Streaming. Bridge Return Code = 8
startMedia: Error during Start Streaming

(ER# 256416618)

Found In: 8.1.300.86 Fixed In:

Audio packets from the Media Control Platform (MCP) to the PSTN Connector might be dropped under high load conditions. To workaround this issue, decrease the packet transmission rate by changing the value of MCP configuration option [mpc]rtp.prefilltime from 200 to 400.

Note: The workaround might increase the prompt playback latency.

(ER# 258240960)

Found In: 8.1.300.86 Fixed In: 8.1.401.26

The audio that is sent by PSTN Connector on the TDM side may have random short gaps. This behavior is intermittent with Dialogic Springware JCT boards only, and may cause incorrect DTMF recognitions at the far end. Dialogic Ticket # C87731. (ER# 247227068, 247135168)

Found In: 8.1.202.79 Fixed In:
