This release also includes the following correction and modification:
Depending on the configuration, IPCS now defers sending RTP packets until RTP
packets are received from the switch or softphone. This change is implemented
by using the vg_mpc.rtp.senduponrecv
configuration option in the
NativeRTP
section. Previously in certain scenarios, RTP packets
were delayed after a call was placed on hold and then taken off hold. (ER# 267124161)

Corrections and Modifications
This release is under shipping control. There are no new features in this release of Genesys Voice Platform IP Communication Server.
This release also includes the following corrections and modifications:
When SIP Server and IP Communication Server (IPCS) are on the same machine,
IPCS no longer uses excess memory if SIP Server sends a NOTIFY
message and a BYE
message at the same time in response to the IPCS
REFER
message. Previously, in this scenario, the BYE
message was processed first and the NOTIFY
message was ignored,
causing IPCS to use excess memory to store the NOTIFY
messages.
(ER#s 251966876)
IPCS no longer terminates unexpectedly when it receives a SIP INVITE
message with an invalid TO
header (for example, To: <sip:<123@10.10.10.1>
).
(ER#s 261820149)
IPCS now passes the correct frame data when a SIP INFO message is received. Previously, if the codec negotiated between IPCS and Media Gateway was the same as the codec negotiated between IPCS and the ASR Server, incorrect frame data was passed, causing DTMF RTP events to be unrecognizable. (ER# 261176471)

Corrections and Modifications
This is a hot fix for this product. This release does not contain new features or functionality.
This release also includes the following correction and modification:
The IPCS MCU process no longer terminates unexpectedly at the end of recording. Previously under certain conditions, some internal C++ Standard Template Library (STL) lists would become corrupted at the end of a recording, causing the MCU to terminate unexpectedly. (ER# 269811868)
Supported Operating Systems

Corrections and Modifications
This is a hot fix for this product. This release does not contain new features or functionality.
This release also includes the following correction and modification:
IPCS now frees memory allocation for MIB queries related to Active Calls. Previously, PopGateway did not free the memory used during these queries, which caused excess memory use, and PopGateway to unexpectedly exit. (ER# 262456258)
Supported Operating Systems

Corrections and Modifications
This release is under shipping control. There are no new features in this release of Genesys Voice Platform IP Communication Server.
This release also includes the following corrections and modifications:
The MRCP server now monitors the Out-Of-Service servers properly. Previously, when the MRCP server was powered off abruptly, In-Service traps were sent incorrectly. (ER# 252791165)
IPCS properly sends the Bargeintype
attribute to the MRCP Server
when it is set to hotword
. Previously, when the Bargeintype
attribute was set to Hotword
in prompt tag, it was not sent to
the MRCP Server. (ER# 247016593)
IPCS no longer stops or skips non-bargein prompts when DTMF digits are pressed.
Previously, IPCS skipped the first prompt following an INPUT
block
if the input digits were more than the maximum digit length. (ER# 249102081)
Call Flow Assistant (CFA) now sends the UPDATE_CALL_STATUS_REQ
request to the IVR Server Client in asynchronous mode for a disconnected call.
Previously, this request was sent in synchronous mode which caused CFA to timeout
if it received a treatment request from the IVR Server Client. (ER# 248100081)
Supported Operating Systems

Corrections and Modifications
This release is under shipping control. There are no new features in this release of Genesys Voice Platform IP Communication Server.
This release also includes the following corrections and modifications:
Call Flow Assistant (CFA) no longer exits when a caller hangs up while the call is queued with IVR Server. Previously, in this scenario, CFA would terminate unexpectedly while cleaning up this call. (ER# 242150892)
PopGateway no longer produces parsing errors in the logs. Previously, when the Media Control Unit (MCU) address was set to the IP address of another IPCS, data from PageCollector was collected without using length. (ER# 240994781)
Supported Operating Systems
New in This Release
Corrections and Modifications
This is a hot fix for this product. This release does not contain new features or functionality.
This release also includes the following correction and modification:
CFA now sends timeouts to PageCollector. Previously, in certain scenarios, CFA could not clear calls that timed out. As a result, CFA did not respond to PopGateway call-in progress messages, and these calls were dropped. (ER# 242271959)
IPCS now checks for the key-ahead
digits in the tone buffer before
starting the prompt play. Previously in an ASR disabled application, if the
input for a barge-in enabled prompt was given before the prompt started, the
barge-in was not recognized immediately and the entire prompt played. (ER# 239697196)
PopGateway now shuts down properly when a graceful shutdown command is issued
while a REGISTER
message is being sent. Previously in this scenario,
PopGateway would exit unexpectedly. (ER# 239710881)
Supported Operating Systems
New in This Release
Corrections and Modifications
This release is under shipping control. There are no new features in this release of Genesys Voice Platform IP Communication Server.
This release also includes the following corrections and modifications:
In behind-the-switch configurations, the Backup Dispenser can now be configured
in Call Flow Assistant (CFA) using the DID.xml URL in case of failures
parameter—for example, http://<Backup_Ini_Dispenser_Machine>/$did$.xml
.
For more information on the DID.xml URL in case of failures
parameter,
see the "Configuring IPCS in the EMPS" chapter in the Genesys Voice Platform
7.6 Deployment Guide. (ER# 240017087)
The SIP response code that is sent by the IPCS when its ports are unavailable
is now configurable. On the PopGateway
node in the Element Management
Provisioning System (EMPS), the NoChannelsResponseCode
parameter
can be set to a value between 400
and 699
. Previously,
when IPCS ran out of available ports, and a new call INVITE
message
was received, it sent a single SIP 486 response only. (ER# 236969999)
IPCS now sends RTP data to the IP address of the MRCP server that is negotiated by the SDP. Previously, under load conditions, IPCS would send data to the incorrect MRCP server. (ER# 237163383)
Supported Operating Systems

Corrections and Modifications
This is a hot fix for this product. This release does not contain new features or functionality.
This release also includes the following correction and modification:
When PopGateway is playing multiple files, start-of-speech events are now reset only at the beginning and end of Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR). Previously, if a start-of-speech event occurred between the prompt that was playing and the next prompt to be played, PopGateway did not wait for the ASR results, which caused the call to hang indefinitely. (ER# 231908245)
Supported Operating Systems
New in This Release
Corrections and Modifications
This release is under shipping control. There are no new features in this release of Genesys Voice Platform IP Communication Server.
This release also includes the following corrections and modifications:
In behind-the-switch mode, if PopGateway is not able to fetch the DID.xml
,
it fetches the fallback DID URL from the CC_EXCEPTIONMAP. Previously, PopGateway
would check the EXCEPTIONMAP and fetch the error URL. (ER# 229151758)
When using Native RTP, IPCS now accepts multiple termination characters when detecting DTMF. Previously, IPCS would only recognize the first termination character in the list of characters, which caused incorrect handling of calls. (ER# 230349503)
Whisper-to-agent now plays successfully when a second call is placed to IPCS.
The fix sets the string that contains the downloaded file name to empty
and retrieves the file name from the proper source during the second call. Previously,
after the first call, the downloaded tmp
file in the cache was
deleted, but the index that pointed to the deleted file path in the cache was
not updated. This caused the previously deleted file in the cache to be used
for the second call. (ER# 228097324)
IPCS ports no longer appear out-of-service when SIP Server performs a primary/backup
switchover. Previously, during SIP Server switchover, IPCS did not clear failed
REGISTER
responses from its internal list, resulting in out-of-service
ports. (ER# 232389263)
In behind-the-switch mode, the previously posted session variables are no longer lost while performing a synchronous record post. (ER# 232731379)

Corrections and Modifications
This is a hot fix for this product. There are no new features in this release of Genesys Voice Platform IP Communication Server.
This release also includes the following correction and modification:
The PopGateway PromptQueue
in the VoiceXML transfer is now synchronized.
Previously, threads from multiple calls accessed the PromptQueue
in an unsynchronized manner, causing the PopGateway to terminate unexpectedly.
(ER# 271751502)
Supported Operating Systems
New in This Release
Corrections and Modifications
This release is under shipping control. There are no new features in this release of Genesys Voice Platform IP Communication Server.
This release also includes the following corrections and modifications:
IPCS now sends the SIP REGISTER
message with two contact headers.
The first one carries the contact address of the primary SIP Session Manager
(SSM), and the second one carries the address of the secondary SSM. This behavior
is configured by enabling the AllowSIPRegMultipleContacts
when
configuring IPCS with primary and backup SSMs. Previously, in an HA configuration,
and using an Avaya SES switch, IPCS sent only the contact header of the primary
SSM, and if the primary SSM was unavailable, calls were dropped because an alternative
contact address was not specified. (ER# 44375991)
IPCS now detects DTMF when receiving calls from an Avaya Switch. Previously,
DTMF was not detected when the Avaya Switch sent a ReINVITE
with
an empty SDP to IPCS. (ER# 173245127)
IPCS now supports call flows received from Alcatel OXE 4400 and OXE 9.0 switches. (ER# 223111894)
IPCS now sends and receives RTP data from different NICs on the same machine. (ER# 218539461, 220128333)
For Outbound calls, IPCS now sends the telephone-event with the configured payload type. (ER# 221003116)
Supported Operating Systems

Corrections and Modifications
This is a hot fix for this product. This release does not contain new features or functionality.
This release also includes the following correction and modification:
IPCS now provides more precise Call Progress Analysis (CPA) results for Host
Media Processing (HMP). In the MCU -> Media Controller -> HMP
section
of the IPCS
node, add the following parameters:
CPAPAMDFailtime
— Specifies the maximum time, in milliseconds,
to wait for positive answering machine or voice detection after a cadence break.
The default value is 100
milliseconds.
CPAAccuracyMode
— Specifies the level of accurate answering
machine detection. The valid values are:
PAMD_FULL
— Perform a full evaluation of the response.
This is the default value.
PAMD_QUICK
— Perform a quick look at connect circumstances.
PAMD_ACCU
— Perform the most accurate evaluation. Use
this setting when accuracy is more important than speed.(ER# 236032204)
Supported Operating Systems

Corrections and Modifications
This is a hot fix for this product. This release does not contain new features or functionality.
This release also includes the following correction and modification:
IPCS now supports multiple DTMF tones using the same time stamp in the RTP
header with the new multidtmf_one_timestamp
parameter. If this
parameter is set to a value of 1
, the end bit is used to differentiate
the DTMF tones, and the timestamp is ignored. (ER# 233715951)
IPCS now correctly receives the Connection Disconnect Hangup
event
from the subdialog application while executing AT&T transfers. Previously, when
Transfer Connect was executed as part of a subdialog, and that subdialog executed
the <return>
element, the page transition manager did not
return control to the main dialog page. (ER# 233750561)
When using multiple NICs, Call Flow Assistant (CFA) no longer associates the
hostid to second NIC IP instead of first NIC IP by setting the localIPAddress
parameter. This parameter provides the IP address to be used when generating
the unique ID. If not set, CFA uses the first IP address returned by the OS.

This is a hot fix for this product. This release does not contain new features or functionality.
This release also includes the following correction and modification:
IPCS now correctly receives the Connection Disconnect Hangup
event
from the subdialog application while executing AT&T transfers. Previously, these
events were not propagated to the main application, which caused the subdialog
to received an error and prevented the call from terminating properly.
Note: An additional correction was made in version 7.6.420.27.

This release also includes the following correction and modification:
After DTMF digits are entered, PopGateway now stops the currently playing prompt and waits for the Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) results. Previously, if a start-of-speech event occurred between the prompt that was playing and the next prompt to be played, PopGateway did not wait for the ASR results, which caused the call to hang indefinitely.
Note: An additional correction was made in version 7.6.440.06.

This is a hot fix for this product. This release does not contain new features or functionality.
This release includes the following correction and modification:
The PopGateway now returns a CPA=BUSY
response for busy calls.
Previously, the PopGateway ignored the CPAresult=BUSY
response
from the MCU in pre-connect scenarios and did not respond with CPA=BUSY
.

Corrections and Modifications
This release is under shipping control. There are no new features in this release of Genesys Voice Platform IP Communication Server.
This release also includes the following corrections and modifications:
SIP INVITE
requests sent to IPCS without Session Description Protocol
(SDP) information no longer result in stuck virtual ports when there is a problem
creating the media path. IPCS now sends a SIP 500 Server Internal Error
message when it fails to create the media path with local SDP information. (ER# 219476195)
IPCS now captures the Local IP address configured in the MCU section and sends
it in the SDP of the 200 OK
message. (ER# 219027263)
IPCS no longer executes the sysroot
catch handler instead of applicationroot
catch handler when the caller hangs up while sending a SIP INFO message. (ER# 220070861)
IPCS now updates the Total Outbound Calls Rejected
value when
the connecttimeout
parameter expires before it receives a 4xx
response and IPCS returns a NO ANSWER
. (ER# 101378759)
IPCS now looks for the java script files in the correct directory. Previously,
if the main VoiceXML application had a root page document residing in another
directory, and the root page referenced a java script file (for example, <script
src=""xyz.js"/>
), GVP looked for the file in the main application
directory instead of the root document directory which caused a url fetch error.
(ER# 216875770)
For Outbound calls, voice applications that use the transferaudio
parameter will play audio for consultation transfers as well as for bridged
transfers. Previously, in this scenario, audio played for bridged transfers
only. (ER# 112782653)
PopGateway no longer fails during Registration when the SIP start Channel Id is set to a very large number. (ER# 212235387)
When using the TlrRegisterResource
method, IPCS now specifies
the correct starting port number. (ER# 197320498)
IPCS now waits for the termination digit during a bargein. (ER# 212395500)
IPCS no longer skips playing the audio file when cleardtmfbuffer
parameter is set to false
and DTMF input is stored in the DTMF
buffer. (ER# 215893354)
PopGateway provides a configurable parameter DefaultMediaFormat
,
which specifies the default format for audio prompts. If the VoiceXML application
does not specify the prompt format with the com.telera.audioformat
extension, the value specified with the DefaultMediaFormat
parameter
is used. Previously, if the format was not specified using the com.telera.audioformat
extension in the VoiceXML application, IPCS played the prompts using the μlaw
codec. (ER# 218932501)
IPCS now accepts the entire RTP header which conforms to RFC[3550]. Previously, IPCS received RTP packets that contained the basic (the first 12 octets) part of the header only. If the header contained CSRS identifiers, MCU would unexpectedly exit. (ER# 216963414)
The third-party memory management application, SmartHeap 7.x, has been upgraded to version 9.0. Previously, if the VoiceXML file included a large number of JavaScript functions embedded in a CDATA section, SmartHeap caused the memory usage to spike in the PopGateway, and IPCS terminated unexpectedly. (ER# 216509954)
The MRCP Client now validates the cnmrcp
pointer before processing
the socket reset connection event. Previously, when a 408 Timeout
error occurred, the MRCP Server closed the connection, and when the MRCP Client
attempted to access the cnmrcp
pointer, the MCU process terminated.

Corrections and Modifications
This is a hot fix for this product. This release does not contain new features or functionality.
This release includes the following correction and modification:
PopGateway no longer restarts during periods of high call volume in a subdialog scenario. Previously, high call volume may have caused a race condition where GVP attempted to update the out-of-scope subdialog execution context. (ER# 221097859)

This release includes the following correction and modification:
The From
and To
headers are now the same. Previously,
for some switches that do not support third party registrations, the REGISTER
SIP
message received from IPCS during shutdown resulted in failure because
the From
header was different from the To
header.

Corrections and Modifications
This release is under shipping control. There are no new features in this release of Genesys Voice Platform IP Communication Server.
This release also includes the following corrections and modifications:
IP Communication Server (IPCS) now correctly disconnects a bridged transfer when the caller hangs up while the Agent's phone is ringing. (ER# 195762501)
Session parameters are now passed to MCU during a retry or a redirect call.
Previously, when an outbound call failed with a 480
error, and
GVP was configured for retry using the sip4xxretrycode
parameter,
on the redial, session parameters were not passed which caused IPCS not to play
the Text-to-Speech (TTS) prompts. (ER# 214849811)
When using Host Media Processing (HMP), IPCS no longer passes the incorrect
shadow variable after a DTMF termination. Previously, the shadow variable returned
message$.termchar = undefined
instead of message$.termchar
= dtmf
. (ER# 212263912)
When in behind-the-switch mode, Call Flow Assistant (CFA) now sets the local
exception map when returning the DNIS to PopGateway. Previously, in this scenario,
CFA set the global exception map which caused PopGateway to fetch unknowndnisurl
when receiving a BAD_XMLPAGE
error. (ER# 198815411)
HMP IPCS now correctly orders the codec list in the 200 OK
response
to an INVITE
message. (ER# 137493241)
SIP INFO variables are now created in all execution contexts. Previously, SIP INFO variables were only created in the main execution context which caused the subdialog execution context to return undefined values when attempting to access the session variables from the main execution context. (ER# 204576095)
For OBN calls, CFA no longer writes unnecessary outbound messages in the logs when Policy Manager is disabled. (ER# 211682264)
IPCS now performs case insensitive string comparison when clearing the buffer
of DTMF tones. Previously, when the speechenabled
parameter was
set to true
, the prompts were skipped if DTMF tones were found
in the buffer. This caused the IVR application to generate errors and not continue.
(ER# 207516248)
HMP IPCS no longer waits for the time set in the interdigittimeout
parameter to expire when the expected input is one digit. (ER# 209206759)
IPCS no longer waits for the time set in the termtimeout
parameter
to expire when the termination character is received. (ER# 209206531)
IPCS no longer sends the BYE
response without setting the Max-forward
headers in the SIP message.(ER# 191423841)
When using Nuance 8.5, IPCS now returns a matched result for the formitem
variable name. Previously, in this scenario, IPCS sent Object Object
for this variable. (ER# 202130454)
IPCS now clears the Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) DTMF buffer when it receives an ASR error. Previously, for menu based applications, the ASR DTMF buffer was not cleared if an ASR error was encountered. This caused the call to continue instead of terminating. (ER# 204584491)

Corrections and Modifications
This is a hot fix for this product. This release does not contain new features or functionality.
This release includes the following correction and modification:
If a SIP REGISTER
request times out, IPCS will now retry the
request every 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 16,... minutes until it receives a successful
response. This is the same behavior as for other REGISTER
failures.
Previously, IPCS did not retry the REGISTER
request if the initial
request timed out. (ER# 209354367)
Note: This release of IPCS requires release 7.6.400.02 of GVP Common.

This release also includes the following corrections and modifications:
IPCS now accepts the timeout
attribute in the <nomatch>
tag. Previously, the timeout
attribute was replaced with the default
system root timeout of three seconds, which did not allow the use of the timeout
attribute in the catch handler. (ER# 172634711)
IPCS now generates an error.connection.baddestination
event when
the destination URI is either malformed or invalid. Previously in this scenario,
the error.unsupported.uri
event was generated. (ER# 176802311)
IPCS no longer fails to register with Nortel switches. Previously, the registration
failed because the from
header in the REGISTRATION
message was different than the to
header. (ER# 181462283)
IPCS now generates a connection.disconnect.transfer
event for
successful consultative transfers. Previously, the connection.disconnect.hangup
event was generated. (ER# 179789928)
When IPCS is situated behind IP Call Manager (IPCM), PopGateway now waits for a response to the unregister successfully message before shutting down the SIP stack. Previously, PopGateway would shut down the SIP stack after the successful unregistration message without waiting for a response. This caused PopGateway to generate an exception to a graceful shutdown. (ER# 185899676)
IPCS now negotiates the RFC2833 DTMF events for dynamic payload 127. (ER# 189391254)
IPCS now recognizes DTMF and ASR when working with Nuance Quantum NSS 5.0.4 and Recognizer 9.0.5 speech engines. (ER# 198279101)
When using the bargein
hotword, IPCS now skips the remaining prompts
in the list. Previously, all prompts in the list were played after the bargein
was encountered. (ER# 196646204)
The SWMS server no longer stops when Host Media Processing (HMP) IPCS uses the G729 or G723 codecs. (ER# 173245568)

Previously, if the incoming INVITE
contained unsupported content
(for example, Nortel CS100), IPCS returned the 415 Unsupported Media Type
message without the above Accept header values which caused IPCS to retransmit
the same INVITE
without recognizable content. (ER# 216761751)

Corrections and Modifications
This is a hot fix for this product. This release does not contain any new features or functionality.
This release also includes the following corrections and modifications:
Host Media Platform (HMP) IP Communication Server (IPCS) now recognizes and passes DTMF tones to PopGateway correctly. (ER# 213729621)
HTTP Posts no longer fail, with HMP as Media Controller, while executing the
connection.disconnect.hangup
event during the recording process.(ER# 214433689)

Corrections and Modifications
This is a hot fix for this product. This release does not contain any new features or functionality.
This release also includes the following corrections and modifications:
IPCS no longer sends a REFER
message containing multiple values
in "Referred-by"
header. The "Referred-by"
header in the REFER
message from IPCS will now contain only a single
value. Previously, if IPCS received an INVITE
with a "History-info"
header containing multiple values (separated by commas), the REFER
that was sent by IPCS also had "Referred-by"
header containing
multiple values as received in "History-info"
header.

Corrections and Modifications
This release is under shipping control. There are no new features in this release of Genesys Voice Platform IP Communication Server.
This release also includes the following corrections and modifications:
IPCS can now set the refresher
parameter to UAC
in the 200 OK
message if the refresher
parameter is
present in the session-expires header of INVITE
. Previously, the
refresher
parameter was always set to IPCS. (ER# 99228428)
PopGateway no longer restarts continuously at startup when using large ChannelID numbers. (ER# 177026819)
The <log>
tag no longer displays results for the previous
call. Previously, after page caching, initialization occurred once when the
VxmlLog
executed. This caused the log text from the first call
to be posted for consecutive calls. (ER# 177026778)

This release also includes the following corrections and modifications:
While collecting DTMF in a noisy environment, Host Media Processing (HMP) IPCS
now waits for a maximum time as specified by the timeout in the application,
before it generates a noinput
exception. Previously, if the application
was attempting to collect digits on a noisy line, the noinput
exception
was not sent to the application in time. (ER# 208279193)

This release also includes the following corrections and modifications:
IP Communication Server (IPCS) now performs a non-case sensitive comparison
for telephone-event
in the SDP for the initial INVITE
and 200OK
response for a ReINVITE
message. Previously,
IPCS performed a case sensitive comparison resulting in failure of DTMF RFC2833
negotiation if the far end sent TELEPHONE-EVENT
in upper case.

Corrections and Modifications
This release is under shipping control. This section describes new features that were introduced in the initial 7.6 release of Genesys Voice Platform IP Communication Server.
Note: IPCS supports codec negotiation for incoming, outgoing, and call bridging scenarios. For incoming calls, IPCS SIP will attempt to match to the G.711, G.729, or G.726 encoding request of the calling party. For outgoing calls, IPCS SIP will offer all three encoding types to the called party endpoint and accept a matching response. If bridging is used in an application (connecting the voice path of caller-to-called-party over RTP), IPCS will endeavor to use SIP ReINVITE toward the calling party so that a direct RTP connection (voice path) can be created between the caller and called parties, thereby freeing IPCS from becoming the media bridge. It will do this in cases where IPCS knows that the caller and called parties have at least one common codec. If this is not the case, or if IPCS notices that the transfer process still has an active grammar in place, then IPCS will do the actual bridging in IPCS media and will provide the transcoding between incoming and outgoing streams. This is true for SIP and H.323, with the exception that H.323 on IPCS does not support G.726 at this time. The following is a guide for the supported encoders:
Native GVP Support | Windows | Solaris | Software Alternative |
SIP | G.711, G.729, G.726 | G.711, G.726 | HMP for Windows only |
H.323 | G.711, G.729 | G.711 | HMP for Windows only |
This release includes the following corrections and modifications that were made between Release 7.5 or earlier releases and the initial 7.6 release:
When the speechenabled
parameter is set to false
,
and the <screxpr>
grammar tag is used, the VoiceXML interpreter
no longer generates an error. Previously in this scenario, the VoiceXML interpreter
evaluated the grammar URI as an empty string and generated a badfetch
error. (ER# 122376701)
IPCS with Host Media Processing (HMP) can now play A-law media files. Previously, IPCS with HMP could only play Mu-law media files. Also, if an A-law media file was played while using HMP, there was a lot of noise in the background. (ER# 130928101)
When using IPCS with HMP, in a VoiceXML application expecting ASR or DTMF input, the timeout timer now starts after the prompt finishes playing. Previously, the timeout timer started as soon as the application started playing the prompt inside the menu/input block, which resulted in IPCS generating a noinput event before the caller had a chance to provide input. (ER# 162300653)
IPCS now supports sending the PRACK (Provisional Response ACKnowledgement) SIP message in response to a 183 Session Progress message sent by a Media Gateway. You must set PrackSupport=1 in the PopGateway section of an IPCS node in EMPS to make use of this correction. Previously, even if PrackSupport was enabled, no PRACK message was sent when a 183 Session Progress message was received. (ER# 119929963)
The format of the audio file, as specified in the VoiceXML application, is now properly sent to the Media Control Unit (MCU). Previously, a crackling sound was heard at the beginning of audio file prompts playback if the format was specified in the VoiceXML application. (ER# 136368711)
IPCS can now detect a tone to be valid even when it receives a single RFC 2833 RTP tone packet, which enables interoperability with SIP phones and media gateways that do not generate repeated tone packets. You can enable this option with the configuration parameter ToneDetectionOnFirstPacket. (ER# 137252181)
IPCS now supports pre-connect (early) CPA detection. (ER# 134300309, ER# 110844577)
IPCS now supports hotword recognition after the call is bridged. (ER# 111943309)
OBN OCS now works properly when IVR Server Client is turned on for the application. (ER# 126316739)
The caller and the agent are now disconnected if REFER time outs (NO_ANSWER) in Consultation transfer. Previously, they were not disconnected. (ER# 117645684)
GVP now evaluates the relative URL when it is sent to MRCP server. (ER# 122338754)
IPCS now sends the SIP register message to the configured register port. Previously, IPCS was sending it to the default 5060 destination port. (ER# 124700541)
IPCS no longer reports the second re-invite to TelephonyController as an earlier event than the first ACK, when both SIP messages arrive at almost the same time. (ER# 129026811)
Code Tracer now works with GVP. Previously, TXML caching was removed for all pages that had a sessionid string, but before answering the call, when the first IVR page was fetched and parsed, the TXML action BeginSession object was not handling the scenario where the page was not retrieved from the cache. This resulted in the call getting dropped without executing the IVR. (ER# 130082131)
IPCS no longer throws an error during a Consultation transfer load. (ER# 129017477)
A crackling noise is no longer heard between prompts when there is user input required. Previously, when playing successive prompts that required user input, a crackling noise was heard before each prompt. (ER# 137252190)
PopGateway no longer throws a parse error while parsing the response page from the OBN manager when it is on the same host. Previously, PageCollector was adding an extra null character to the end of fetched data during a internal (COM\SOAP) call. (ER# 120061039)
IPCS now waits for the duration of termtimeout for the DTMF input to finish when no ASR is used and the termchar is defined as #. Previously, IPCS did not wait for termtimeout when the maximum digits were entered and the termchar was #. (ER# 137252197)
The prompt on the caller leg is now played before transfer when the Wait While Dialing feature is disabled. (ER# 31685333)
IPCS no longer disconnects the caller leg if the bridge is unsuccessful. Previously, IPCS would timeout on failure to complete a bridge successfully and would hang up the outbound leg by doing an unbridge, but never terminated the inbound leg. (ER# 55464953)
You can now hear the beep sound when beep="true" in <record>. (ER# 65490151)
IPCS now recognizes a DTMF tone from the CCAS/Stream Manager. (ER# 81403031)
During bridge transfer on HMP, if the endpoints of the two call legs do not support at least one common codec, the bridge transfer no longer fails. (ER# 99750156)
IPCS no longer hangs up the call when IPCS sends DTMF to the far end as SIP INFO and the far end does not respond, resulting in a timeout. (ER# 109291231)
If the invite to the enhanced Media Server fails, IPCS now returns the same 4xx or 5xx response for that invite to the caller. Previously, IPCS returned 415 media not supported to the caller. (ER# 124666503)
IPCS now sorts the negotiated codec list in the order of the far end SDP’s codec list. Previously, IPCS did not order the negotiated codecs correctly in 200 OK in response to INVITE. (ER# 137493241)
IPCS now distinguishes between the first leg and the second leg participating in the bridge, and IPCS can now compare two codec lists. Previously, when default remote bridging was attempted, the bridging failed due to a lack of common codecs. (ER# 93798941)
IPCS now sends BYE to the caller in order to disconnect the caller's leg. Previously during bridging, IPCS sent reINVITE continuously to the outbound leg. (ER# 78737)

When using the Session Timer, IPCS does not support sending or processing the
422
error code. Therefore, if the far end responds with the 422
error code to an outgoing INVITE
, IPCS ignores the min-SE
and continues using the same Session-Expires
header, so new sessions
cannot be initiated. As a workaround, configure the Session Timer Interval
(secs)
parameter to the minimum min-SE
header field value
expected to be received by IPCS in a SIP session. (ER# 24345101, ER# 101360696)
