This release is under shipping control. There are no new features in this release of Genesys Voice Platform Common for UltraSparc T1.
This release also includes the following corrections and modifications:
PageCollector no longer continues to fetch a page after the fetchtimeout
parameter expires. (ER# 259383582)
Common now uses GSIP Stack version 7.6.000.28. This corrects a problem where the Via
header contained two URIs separated by a comma in one header because the GSIPLIB 7.6.000.27 was adding received
at the end of the top Via
header. This is incorrect when multiple URIs are passed in one header. (ER# 263848973)
When SIP Server and IP Communication Server (IPCS) are on the same machine, IPCS no longer uses excess memory if SIP Server sends a NOTIFY
message and a BYE
message at the same time in response to the IPCS REFER
message. Previously, in this scenario, the BYE
message was processed first and the NOTIFY
message was ignored, causing IPCS to use excess memory to store the NOTIFY
messages. (ER#s 251966876, 257141751)

This release also includes the following corrections and modifications:
When in Single Tenant mode, Policy Manager's OverAll Status
GUI no longer displays the Active Applications/Total Applications
incorrectly. (ER# 247342910)
WatchDog now restarts the SIP Session Manager (SSM) process if SSM unexpectedly terminates. (ER# 247296245)
PageCollector now uses the original redirected URL without decoding it. Previously, when using an HTTP redirect to forward an application to a new URL, PageCollector would use the decoded URL to send the next request. This caused some of the values to be set incorrectly. (ER# 248282491)

This release also includes the following corrections and modifications:
SSM no longer has continuous memory growth when there are pending transactions. On the System
tab of the SSM
node in the Element Management Provisioning System (EMPS), add the destroypendingservertxn
parameter, and set its value to 1
. Previously, in this scenario, SSM had to be restarted to clear the memory.
Note: Genesys recommends that you set this parameter only when there are memory growth issues.

PageCollector no longer exits unexpectedly while resolving hostnames in the gethostname_r()
API. (ER# 228086197)

Corrections and Modifications
This is a hot fix for this product. This release does not contain new features or functionality.
This release also includes the following corrections and modifications:
PageCollector now checks for all NICs on the host machine, and it uses SOAP to post messages for processing. Previously, if there were multiple NICs on the host machine, PageCollector only checked for the first IP address encountered. If it was not the primary IP address, PageCollector used webnotify to post messages which caused load issues on the Webserver, and messages were not posted correctly. (ER# 242696015)

Corrections and Modifications
This release is under shipping control. There are no new features in this release of Genesys Voice Platform Common for UltraSparc T1.
This release also includes the following corrections and modifications:
PageCollector now correctly processes 304
responses with the Set-Cookie
header. Previously, PageCollector would cache the Set-Cookie
header and, when processing 304
responses, GVP would use the cached cookie from the previous call instead of the cookie provided by the web server. (ER# 222331891)
After using a socket for sending RTSP messages, the MCU now adds it to the bottom of the list, so that all sockets use the round robin algorithm. Previously, in this scenario, the socket was returned to the top of the list which caused the MCU to use the same socket to poll for connectivity during idle conditions, leaving the unused sockets to timeout and subsequent MRCP ASR heartbeats to fail. (ER# 226274013)

This release also includes the following corrections and modifications:
IP Call Manager no longer sends the SIP CANCEL
message to the User Agent instead of to the SIP proxy. Previously in this scenario, the SIP proxy did not know that the call ended. (ER# 215699521)
The third-party memory management application, SmartHeap 7.x, has been upgraded to SmartHeap 9.0. Previously, if the VoiceXML file included a large number of JavaScript functions embedded in a CDATA section, SmartHeap caused the memory usage to spike in the PopGateway, and IP Communication Server (IPCS) terminated unexpectedly. (ER# 216176031)
PopGateway no longer exits unexpectedly if IPCS receives a malformed INVITE
message. (ER# 199162131)

This is a hot fix for this product. This release does not contain new features or functionality.
This release also includes the following corrections and modifications:
GVP processes are now always started using the gvp.ini.tds
file. Previously, GVP processes were started using the dynamically generated .tmp
configuration file. (ER# 219394369)

Corrections and Modifications
This release is under shipping control. There are no new features in this release of Genesys Voice Platform Common for UltraSparc T1.
This release also includes the following corrections and modifications:
WatchDog has a new timeout parameter to fetch the .ini file from Element Management Provisioning System (EMPS). The parameter, iniRetrievalTimeout
, has an integer range of 0
– 600000
milliseconds with the default set to 30
seconds. Previously, Watchdog had only eight seconds to retrieve the .ini file; therefore, if it took longer for EMPS to respond to the request, WatchDog generated an error. (ER# 210396831)
The EventCWrapper process no longer causes handle counts to increase. Previously, the EventCWrapper handle count increased with every cycle which caused EventC, Reporter, and Network Monitor servers to become inaccessible when the EventC process ran continuously for weeks. (ER# 209173484)
