Introduction

This release note applies to all 7.2 releases of the Gplus UCS Gateway Server for Siebel CRM. Information will be added to this release note as subsequent versions of the component are released. To help you identify the specific differences in releases, the release note includes new features and corrections and modifications for each release. Links in the Contents section enable you to access information regarding a specific release. A table in the Contents section lists at a high level the supported operating systems for each release. For more detailed information, see the Genesys Supported Operating Systems and Databases Reference Manual.

The Known Issues and Recommendations section is a cumulative list with the most recent items at the top of the list. This list includes information on when individual items were found and, if applicable, corrected.

The Discontinued Support section is also a cumulative list with the most recent items at the top of the list. This list includes functionality that is no longer supported and the release number of the version in which support was discontinued.

Note: Genesys solutions may sometimes utilize functionality from commercial or non-commercial third parties, when such solutions are determined to provide quality approaches to items Genesys would otherwise have to raise costs to implement.

There are no restrictions for this release. There are no new features in this release of the Gplus UCS Gateway Server for Siebel CRM.

With this release the UCS Gateway generates only valid XML for parsing on the Siebel side. (See http://www.w3.org/TR/2004/REC-xml11-20040204/#charsets.) Previously, the Gateway used some invalid characters that Siebel components could not parse. (ER# 235446474)

Known Issues and Recommendations

UCS Gateway does not support any sorting on the Virtual Business Components columns. For example, if a user attempts to sort in the MCR Queue List Popup Applet, the UCS Gateway will return an error response (HTTP Status: 500), then Siebel will subsequently display an error message (SBL-EAI-04361).
