Introduction

This release note applies to all 7.5 releases of Gplus Adapter for Siebel CRM Media Routing Component. Information will be added to this release note as subsequent versions of the component are released. To help you identify the specific differences in releases, the release note includes new features and corrections and modifications for each release. Links in the Contents section enable you to access information regarding a specific release. A table in the Contents section lists at a high level the supported operating systems for each release. For more detailed information, see the Genesys Supported Operating Environment Reference Guide.

The Known Issues and Recommendations section is a cumulative list with the most recent items at the top of the list. This list includes information on when individual items were found and, if applicable, corrected.

The Discontinued Support section is also a cumulative list with the most recent items at the top of the list. This list includes functionality that is no longer supported and the release number of the version in which support was discontinued.

Note: Genesys follows applicable third-party redistribution policies to the extent that Genesys solutions utilize third-party functionality. Please contact your Customer Care representative if you have any questions.

Supported Operating Systems

New in This Release

There are no restrictions for this release. This release does not contain any new features or functionality.

• Support for Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and 2012 was added on May 5, 2015.

Corrections and Modifications

This release includes the following correction or modification:

The Media Routing Component has been updated to support Siebel 8.1. (ER# 234328539)

Supported Operating Systems

New in This Release

There are no restrictions for this release. This section describes new features that were introduced in the initial 7.5 release of Gplus Adapter for Siebel CRM Media Routing Component.

• Supports Siebel 8.0.
• Uses the Siebel HTTP subsystem to deliver route requests to the Gplus Communication Server.
• Provides the ability to transfer a work item to another agent or queue.
• Provides the ability to pull an interaction while it is in a queue waiting to be delivered to agents.
• Provides the ability to cancel a route request and thus stop its processing in the Genesys environment.

Corrections and Modifications

This release includes the following corrections and modifications that were made between Release 7.2 or earlier releases and the initial 7.5 release:

Internationalization

Information in this section is included for international customers.

There is a problem with applet search specifications in Siebel Servers without an American English (ENU) language pack.

Workaround: Remove the search specification from the MediaRouting Communication Detail View record as follows:

1. In Siebel Tools, click the Applet folder, and select the MediaRouting Communication Detail View record.
2. Open the Properties window and delete the Search specification property.
3. Recompile and deploy the .srf file on the Siebel server.
4. Before importing the GenComm_universal.def configuration file, update the OpenSiebelCommView event response.
5. Open the GenComm_universal.def file with the text editor, and replace the text OpenView = "MediaRouting Communication Detail View" with the following:
   QueryBusComp = "Action"
   QueryBusObj = "eMail Response"
   QuerySpec = "Id = '{ThirdPartyId}'"
   SingleView = "MediaRouting Communication Detail View"
